Air pollution

Air is the most immediately vital resource.

Pure air

78% Nitrogen

21% Oxygen

Less than 1% Argon

0.03% Carbon dioxide

Water vapor

Other gases

The percentage of oxygen in the air has not been reduced significantly with the advent

of air pollution.

For many years people have been

treating the atmosphere as a

sewer

,exhausting different kinds of waste

products into it.

Air pollution is the introduction of hazardous materials into the

atmosphere as the result of mans‘ activities.

pollutants in the air are mostly a result of: 1. human activities 2. natural phenomena

We use a number from 1 to 10to indicate the level of local air quality.

four major air pollutants:

1. ozone

2. nitrogen dioxide (NO2)

3. sulphur dioxide (SO2)

4. Carbon monoxide (CO)

Some bad effects of air pollution on human

being:

1.Air pollution causes harmful physical changes in

the brain:

these changes are associated with

learning and memory problems and even depression.

2.Air Pollution Has Negative Effects on Heart Health:

air pollution can negatively affect the ability of the heart with serious

coronary artery disease .

3.Air Pollution Raises Blood Pressure:

The problems of air pollution is further complicated by existence

of inversion layers.

An inversion layer is a layer of warmer air over a cooler surface layer of air.

It results from:

1.Topographical character2.Proximity to water

specific vitamins may help protect your health from the

effects of bad air:

vitamins A and C benefited people who

were sensitive to air pollutants.

vitamins B6 and B12 help guard the Heart from the impact of air pollution

Over three million premature deaths

each year are caused by air pollution, according to the

World Health Organization (WHO).

Thanks for your

attention!
