MCP'S FOREWORDIt's an incredible feeling to be leading the 16/17 term 4 years after my first

July National Conference as a OGX TL. I remember the MCP 12/13 Evelyn

Pau (from Melbourne Uni) opening the conference with excitement and

passion for an entity that had big dreams, great people but could do so much

more. An entity that was great back in the day but was not taken seriously in

the global plenary. In that term, that entity grew from 250+ to almost 400

exchanges and started a pathway of growth and relevance year after year.

It was amazing to know that it wasn't just me, an 18 year old Usyd kid, who

wanted to do something impactful for the world. There were 300 delegates

there, from 14 universities chanting and showing their LC pride and

determination to make an impact in their own campuses. Each delegate there

represented the tens

of young people that they would help discover their potential for change

through a lifechanging exchange experience. And that to me was incredible!

To this day I will never forget that first JulyCon always reminding me that it is

through these touchpoints where you can visualise the true potential of a

bunch of crazy young people striving to achieve Peace and Fulfilment of

Humankind's potential. I believe in the power of young people, and the power

of you all that will be joining us at QCon 2016 this July. Together, we come

from all walks of life to channel our ambition towards a better Australia an

Australia that is a model international citizen for the world.

Changing the world starts with changing Australia and changing Australia

starts from changing you. I can't wait to meet you all, and see what ideas you

bring to the table! See you there!

CCP'S FOREWORDDear delegates,

This is Haley, your Congress Committee President of AIESEC Australia

National conference 2016 (known as Qcon 2016). I would like to send a warm

welcome to all of you who will be attending Qcon this July. It is with great

honour to know that over 200 aspiring leaders from 16 entities across

Australia and outstanding international delegates have chosen to gather right

here in Queensland to partake in this extraordinary event.

The conference is proudly hosted by AIESEC Queensland, which is one of

the most progressive and passionate regions in AIESEC Australia. The

journey to planning the Qcon has also allowed us Queenslanders show

Australia what true regional pride is all about and we hope to bring our

Queenslander spirit, enthusiasm, and drive to the national conference.

Proudly hosted by AIESEC at the University of Queensland, the conference will

pertain not only the inspirational AIESEC culture, but also provide a place where

you can truly ignite your leadership potential. Additionally, the Conference will be

an excellent opportunity for you to interact and network with delegates from other

local committees.

Venue

UQ Gatton combines the rural traditions of its

centuryold origins as the Queensland

Agricultural College with stateoftheart

research and teaching facilities in agriculture,

animals, veterinary science and the

environment.

The best way to get around the venue is

Being an 1068hectare campus, UQ Gatton has a number of nursery and

glasshouse facilities which conduct research and industry development to

strengthen the business of native floriculture in Australia and internationally. A

lysimeter glasshouse which is used for measuring the uptake of water by plants

allows for further innovative research to be undertaken on drought adaptation of

plant.

In order to help all the delegates to have a clearer picture about the venue, the UQ

Gatton Campus officers offer all the delegates the FREE campus tour which

including two parts: bus tour and followed by walking tour.

The tour will take place on the first day the delegates arrive to the venue, before all

the sessions start.
