What is AIESEC? AIESEC is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential. Our platform enables organizations to interact and source high-potential university students and graduates from all over the world through our exchange programs, conferences, and virtual communication tools.

AIESEC engages over 28.000 young people at any point in time, or about 80.000 every five years, and is the world’s largest youth-run organization. AIESEC provides its members with an integrated development experience comprised of leadership opportunities, international internships and participation in a global learning environment. Exchange Exchange is the defining element of the AIESEC experience providing you the opportunity to live and work in a foreign country.It is the most intense learning experience that we offer and it links together our global network.The whole AIESEC network focuses on increasing the number of high quality traineeship experiences.
Through our exchange program, we offer over 4.400 members a year the opportunity to have a practical professional experience in a foreign country.The challenge of living and working abroad provides an incredible learning experience.
The strength of our network, membership, and organizational support rests with exchange. Everyone in AIESEC is connected through exchange. We can link almost all of our local work directly or indirectly to increasing the quality and quantity of exchanges that we provide.
It is also the primary reason for which most organizations partner with us and for which our thousands of members communicate with each other on a daily basis.
How does the AIESEC Exchange Program Work? Internal Screening: Each AIESEC office pre-screens candidates through a review board consisting of interviews, tests, and participation of externals. Profile Identification: You determine the desired candidate, profile and job description for your intern. Intern Selection: Within 2 to 12 weeks, AIESEC provides a short-list of suitable candidates and aids the selection process by arranging a telephone or on-line interviews. Visa Services: AIESEC arranges the visa for the intern. Pre-Arrival Services: AIESEC supports the intern with cultural perpetration and goal-setting exercises. Post-Arrival Services: AIESEC arranges logistical services, such as accommodation, pickup, and relocation of the intern. Integration Services: AIESEC provides on-going activities for the intern and connects him/her to a network of other AIESEC members and exchange participants. Evaluation: AIESEC facilitates an evaluation process for both the organization and the intern throughout the internship to ensure objectives and expectations from all sides are being met.
