Impact of Catalysis in the process

• Lab experiments– Solute: ethyl acetate

• 600 mls solution

• Catalyst: 15 mls

• EtAc 0.12-0.14 mM

– Ethyl Acetate is relatively refractory

– Data show significant oxidation rate enhancement by the catalyst

– Data analysis shows catalysed reaction is second order
