How I used PowerPoint

Evaluation Question 4: How did you use technologies in the planning, construction and evaluation of your media product?

To make my work look presentable I first selected a theme by clicking Design and then choosing an ideal theme to make my work look presentable.

To add text to my PowerPoints I clicked the default text boxes on the slide and typed into them. Other text boxes could also be inserted by selecting insert, text box.

To insert and image into PowerPoint I copied and pasted the image file (JPEG PDF etc) onto a slide.

Inserting images

I inserted shapes such as arrows and circles to signify key sections of a PowerPoint. To do this I selected insert, shapes, and selected the shape s I wanted to use.

Inserting shapes

I had to embed YouTube Videos into PowerPoint in order to show that I had researched existing soap trailers and extracts. To do this I copied the video URL link, selected Developer, more controls in PowerPoint, ShockWave Flash object. I Right-clicked the Box that appeared, selected properties and copied the URL link into the ‘Movie’ section. The section of the URL ‘watch?v’ was replaced with ‘v/’ in order for the link to work.
