Introduction to rubber scrap problems and their sollution :

Waste rubber comes from waste tyres, rubber overshoes, vee belts, conveyer belts, tailings and other rubber products, and waste

tyres account of the biggest proportion among waste rubber. With the rapid development of automotive industry and highway, more

and more "black pollution", which are formed by waste tyres, are threatening us. They occupy large quantity of land; they can be

depredated only after 500 years' land filling, they impair the growth of vegetation, propagate mosquitoes, spread diseases; they are

easily to cause fire, the thick black smoke, sulfur dioxide and other harmful gas produced after burning will pollute the atmosphere

seriously, and they will damage people's health. Even if invested heavily to landfill and incineration, they can also bring secondary

pollution which cannot be eliminated, and they will destroy the natural environment, at last they have become black rubbish which

seriously prevent the sustainable development of the modern society.Waste tyres (rubber) is a kind of renewable resources, and it is

Uses and application of crumb rubber : Crumb rubber is a term usually applied to recycled rubber from automotive and truck scrap tires. During the recycling process

steel and fluff is removed leaving tire rubber with a granular consistency. Continued processing with a granulator and/or cracker mill, possibly with the aid of cryogenics or mechanical means, reduces the size of the particles further. The particles are sized and classified based on various criteria including color (black only or black and white). The granulate is sized by passing through a screen, the size based on a dimension i n m m or mesh (holes per inch : 10, 20, etc.).
