On or about December 20th, the cargo was examined at the port's facilities by the PPQ personnel and its wood packaging material found to have a pest. The cargo was refused entry and the attached Emergency Action Notification form, no. 196508, issued by PPQ. In reference to the action notification, our client has requested to obtain photographs and information related to the examination of the goods to determine the specific area of infestation of the pest. In checking with the Office involved with the examination, he mentioned that photographs and other details of the review are no longer provided at the port level and would have to obtained via the FOIA process. In view of this fact; I respectfully request copies of the report, and photographs, of the pest found on this shipment from Mexico.
