DESCRIPTION
ÂTRANSCRIPT
This exclusive event, only for guests of Max Media, takes you to a gorgeous, unspoiled paradise,
Isla de Coiba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is accessible only by special permit.
Because the island served Panama as a penal colony, its natural beauty has survived
virtually untouched and plant and marine life have flourished with limited human contact.
Guided hiking tours are also available. Bring your camera to capture memories of the wild
monkeys and all the tropical birds you’ll see. Afterwards. if you enjoy snorkeling, this is
where you want to be. We’ll provide the guide.
You’ll have access to a spectacular secluded beach, so you can enjoy swimming, water
skiing or kayaking in the warm Caribbean waters. Live music, coconut cocktails (or fresh
coconut water), classic rice and beans, and other local dishes for lunch —
it really can’t get much better.
Transit the Panama Canal, one of the world’s most stunning feats of engineering, in a sailing yacht that
lets you see it all. Watch for rare Scarlet Macaws in Corcovado National Park, “The Amazon of Costa
Rica,” and dive the amazing coral reefs of Isla de Coiba. This is a singular voyage of natural wonders
and man-made marvels.

DAY 1 COLÓN, PANAMA
Untouched beaches, lowland rainforests, and elaborate colonial architecture
lie just beyond the commercial center of Colón. There are plenty of things
here to satisfy virtually every interest — from snorkeling in impossibly blue
Caribbean waters to sunbathing on gold-sand beaches, exploring ancient
ruins, or admiring the massive locks on the other side of the formidable Panama Canal.
DAY 2 PANAMA CANAL, PANAMA
At nearly 51 miles long and connecting two oceans with a vast “highway of
water,” the Panama Canal easily earns its reputation as the Eighth Wonder of
the World. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime thrill as your ship is raised, then
lowered 85 feet to sail gracefully through three massive locks that transport you from the calm Pacific Ocean to the shimmering waters of the Atlantic.
DAY 4 ISLA DE COIBA, PANAMA
Covering 430,825 pristine acres, the island of Coiba has been identified by
UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and offers some of the world’s most
superb diving and snorkeling. The warm, translucent waters are teeming with
dazzling marine life and surrounded by one of the largest coral reefs on the
Pacific. Follow them to the underwater Cordilera mountain chain, which extends as far as the Galápagos Islands..
DAY 5 GOLFO DULCE (PUERTO JIMENEZ), COSTA RICA
Picture Jurassic foliage growing down steep hillsides all the way to the
waterline, the hoots and hollers of monkeys echoing through trees choked by
orchids. This is Golfo Dulce, one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse areas,
where both the jungle and the sea brim with life. Explore the canals by kayak
in search of javelinas, butterflies, and more bird species than in all of North America.
DAY 6 BAHIA DRAKE, COSTA RICA
Go horseback riding through a tropical paradise. Or take the tour to nearby
Corcovado National Park. Protected by a natural rock barrier, the reserve
offers some of the planet’s most astounding biological diversity. Keep an eye
out for red-eyed tree frogs, 100 species of butterflies, and countless bird species, including Scarlet Macaws.
DAY 7 QUEPOS, COSTA RICA
This former banana-exporting town is your base camp for a day of rainforest
adventure. Walk along trails that weave up to waterfalls or soar high above
the jungle floor surrounded by wildlife. Then grab your camera for a walk
through Manuel Antonio National Park, with its lovely beaches, easy trails,
and exuberant animal life.
DAY 8 PUERTO CALDERA, COSTA RICA
Picture Jurassic foliage growing down steep hillsides all the way to the
waterline, the hoots and hollers of monkeys echoing through trees choked by
orchids. This is Golfo Dulce, one of Costa Rica’s most bio-diverse areas,
where both the jungle and the sea brim with life. Explore the canals by kayak
in search of Javelinas, butterflies, and more bird species than in all of North America.
