benefi t plans can save up to 75 percent on prescriptions, for free. United Way of Northwest Louisiana and FamilyWize, has helped families in Northwest
Louisiana save more than $18,125 on medications by using the free Prescription Discount Card.
Nearly 8,000 Northwest Louisiana residents have saved $1,349,754 since 2007, with nearly 100,000 claims to date.

Funds Distribution ProcessUWNWLA distributes funds through a grants process. Eligible 501(C3) nonprofits must demonstrate that the funds will be used to address one of the critical issues UWNWLA seeks to address. Applications are reviewed by community volunteers who make final recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Day of CaringIn 2015, Day of Caring returned after a brief hiatus. This volunteer event connected more than 20 businesses with 24 nonprofits. Over 200 volunteers painted, sorted, cleaned, and more. More than 780 hours were volunteered in this one day!
The first Day of Caring in Minden had 40 volunteers who donated 120 hours of service.

hosted a Day of Service October 24. The
volunteer event included students, teachers,
administrators and parents who have pledged
to pay it forward.
More than 300 volunteers participated in 16
projects. Nearly 600 volunteer hours were
accumulated in this one day event.

Day of CaringIn 2015, Day of Caring returned after a brief hiatus. This volunteer event connected more than 20 businesses with 24 nonprofits. Over 200 volunteers painted, sorted, cleaned, and more. More than 780 hours were volunteered in this one day!
The first Day of Caring in Minden had 40 volunteers who donated 120 hours of service.

Day of CaringIn 2015, Day of Caring returned after a brief hiatus. This volunteer event connected more than 20 businesses with 24 nonprofits. Over 200 volunteers painted, sorted, cleaned, and more. More than 780 hours were volunteered in this one day!
The first Day of Caring in Minden had 40 volunteers who donated 120 hours of service.
Mission Working on priority issues in order to create measurable impact, thereby improving lives in our region through the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Health, and Essential Needs.
VisionTo collaboratively improve the lives of the people in Northwest Louisiana.
United Way and Bossier Parish Schools
hosted a Day of Service October 24. The
volunteer event included students, teachers,
administrators and parents who have pledged
to pay it forward.
More than 300 volunteers participated in 16
projects. Nearly 600 volunteer hours were
accumulated in this one day event.

Funds Distribution ProcessUWNWLA distributes funds through a grants process. Eligible 501(C3) nonprofits must demonstrate that the funds will be used to address one of the critical issues UWNWLA seeks to address. Applications are reviewed by community volunteers who make final recommendations to the Board of Directors.

benefi t plans can save up to 75 percent on prescriptions, for free. United Way of Northwest Louisiana and FamilyWize, has helped families in Northwest
Louisiana save more than $18,125 on medications by using the free Prescription Discount Card.
Nearly 8,000 Northwest Louisiana residents have saved $1,349,754 since 2007, with nearly 100,000 claims to date.
