Sonrise Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Classes

March – May 2014 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Isaiah Most Christians know the famous chapters from Isaiah: 6, 7, and 53, but what about the other sixty-three? Isaiah prophesied during the reigns of four kings of Judah, bringing many different messages from the Lord. Come and learn about God's plans both past and future - the fall of wicked nations, the coming of the Messiah for redemption, and His future return to reign forever. J.W. Yearsley is leading this class which continues from last quarter.

Standard Adult Class: Jesus: The Fulfillment of Scripture

This quarter we will look at three aspects of how Jesus fulfilled Scriptures: 1. Jesus in relation to the Davidic Covenant; 2) Jesus fulfilled the prophets; 3) Jesus quoted Scrip-ture. Join us in the Sanctuary! Byran Best is leading this class.

Discipleship essentials We grow in Christ as we seek Him together. Jesus' own pattern of disciple-making was to be intimately involved with others. By gathering in a small group to study the Bible and encourage one another, we closely follow Jesus' example. Led by Jim Yearsley.

Ladies’ Class: Sacred Secrets, by Beth Moore

In a world obsessed with sensationalism, not all hidden things are poisonous and dark. Some secrets are forgiven, some are covered, and some are kept between you and God. Find out what happens when we let God teach us "wisdom in the secret heart" (Psalm 51:6). Join us in the Fellowship Room for Beth's latest DVD study. Joyce Yearsley will lead this class.

WHAT: We’re going without food to understand what millions face every

day, and raising money to do something about it. Just $35 can help feed and

care for a child for a month through World Vision!

WHY: We refuse to sit around while an estimated 9,500 kids die every day

from hunger-related causes. This is our moment. Together, we can make a

lasting difference for children whose suffering breaks God’s heart.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1. Pray. Ask God to work in and through our students.

2. Volunteer. Join us for an amazing Famine weekend!

3. Give. Write a check made out to World Vision and give it to the con-

tact person below, or visit our online fundraising page at:

http://30hf.worldvision.org/goto/SonriseYouthUtah

OUR FAMINE DATES: March 28th & 29th

OUR GOAL: To raise as much as we can to help feed and care for kids
