I INTERCONTINENTAL FEMALE KARATE CUP The Spanish Karate Federation would like to inform the celebration of the I Intercontinental Female Karate Cup, that will be held on the 20th and 21st September at La Coruña (Spain). The competition will take place on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

CATEGORIES

Kumite Individual Female Senior

-50 kg. -55 kg. -61 kg. -68 kg. +68 kg.

Kata Individual Female Senior AGE (Referred to the first day of competition)

Kumite: minimun 18 years. Kata: minimun 16 years.

COMPETITION RULES

a. Kumite: Round-robin system pool of bouts, preferably of 3, 4 or 5 competitors, it depends on the number of participants.

b. Kata: All competitors perform 2 katas, they will be judged through the usual scoring system, the 2 totals will be added and it will be applied the corresponding procedures in case of a tie. Finally, the first 8 competitors will be classified for the next phase that it will do through the flags.

REFEREEING According to the Official Spanish Karate Federation Rules (WKF).

Each National Federation may request the registration an additional referee (they would cover their own expenses) to partipate in the I Intercontinental Female Karate Cup. There is not still confirmed their performance if they have not the International License.

DRAW It will be held in the Spanish Karate Federation HQ Office in Madrid on Wednesday 17th September at 11:00am. DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTATION: the official draws will be sent by e-mail on THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER. The rest of the documents will be delivered at the Headquarter Hotel.

WHEIGH-IN It will take place at the Sports Hall of Riazor, one hour before the beginning of the competition of the corresponding categories of each day. In case of any competitor has not the wheight (indicated at the registration form), she will beautomatically disqualified and she will not able to be replaced by another. It is mandatory the presentation of passport at both weigh-in and in the competition. CREDENTIALS Credentials will only provide to the registered persons in the official documents.

PROTECTIONS It is mandatory to use the WKF/ EKF homologated protections.

REGISTRATION They must be sent to the Spanish Karate Federation, before 18:00pm on WEDNESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2014, with the following documentation:

1) COMPETITORS: • Fotocopy of Passport. • Official Forms of Registration filled and stamped.

• Participation fee: Free for inscriptions made through the National

Federation. • Participation fee: 25 euros for inscripctions not made through the

National Federations. • Parental Consent for the competitors under 18 years old. (form

attached). It is compulsory that all participants and members of delegations to have their own medical and personal trip insurance. The Spanish Karate Federation assume no liability or responsibility for the lack of insurance from participants and members of delegations.

2) COACHES AND REFEREES: Official Forms of Registration for coaches filled and stamped

Only access to the competition area for coaches registered and in

possession of their accreditation.

Any registration form not received at the Spanish Karate Federation Office before the time and date indicated with the documents required, they will not be accepted. DOPING CONTROL We reminder you the need to comply the current legislation on doping and the applications for a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption). Any athlete who uses or need any of the substances of the prohibited list, must present the corresponding authorization if the competitor is requested to have a doping control.

PRIZE MONEY These championships have prize Money in cash according to the following:

• Gold Medalist: 500 € • Silver Medalist: 300 € • Bronze Medalist: 150 €

There will be only a 3rd place.
