Your policy provides cover or necessary medical treatment o acute medical
conditions covered by your plan.
Signifcant eatures and benefts
The extent o the cover provided is detailed in the Global Health Essentialplan agreement and outlined in the attached summary o cover.
The plan you have chosen will be stated on your Certicate o Insurance.
Signifcant and unusual exclusions or limitations
The ollowing limitations apply to your policy:
• Any limitations contained in your Certicate o Insurance,
• The overall limit o cover or the plan you have chosen,
• The limits specied or particular benets within the plan you havechosen,
• The excess, as specied on your Certicate o Insurance,
•
All treatment received within the United States o America, Canada, theCaribbean, and the London postal district is excluded rom cover,
• Cover or treatment received in Australia, Europe, New Zealand, andOrchid countries (Bali, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Singapore, andTaiwan) is restricted to unoreseen emergency treatment whilst on atemporary trip o not more than 90 days duration.
The ollowing are excluded rom cover under your policy:
• Pre-existing conditions,
• Addictive conditions/disorders and alcohol, drug and solvent abuse,
• Birth control, inertility, assisted reproduction, sexual problems and sex
changes,
• Birth deects and congenital conditions,
• Chemical, biological or nuclear contamination, or active participation in
war and terrorism,
• Chronic conditions,
• Convalescence and rehabilitation,
• Cosmetic surgery,
• Dental treatment,
• Eating disorders and weight-related conditions,
• Experimental drugs and treatments,
• Foetal surgery, inertility and assisted reproduction,
• Hearing,
• Long-term kidney dialysis,
• Nasal septum deviation,
• Organ transplant (except as stated under the organ transplant benet
and up to the stated limit),
• Pregnancy (although there is limited cover or complications o
pregnancy ater 12 months continuous cover under the Essential Care
plus plan),
• Illness or injury caused by proessional sports and racing,
• Psychiatric conditions,
• Routine preventive health checks and vaccinations,
• Sexually transmitted diseases,
• Sel-inficted injuries, suicide and/or wilul exposure to needless danger,
• Sleep disorders,
• Surgical or medical appliances and equipment,
• Treatment associated with any bodily change such as the menopause,
puberty or ageing,
• Treatment by a amily member,
A ull list o exclusions is contained in the Global Health Essential plan
agreement.
Duration o the policy
Your cover will remain in orce or a period o 12 months provided youmaintain your premium payments in accordance with the Global Health
Essential plan agreement. Your cover may be renewed each year with our
agreement. Premiums are age-related and will increase as you get older. We
review our premiums annually. The current premium rates are not guaranteed
or the duration o your plan.
Right o Cancellation
You have a right to cancel during the rst 30 days o the policy, provided that
you conrm this to us in writing and have not made a claim. We will reund the
premium you have paid to us.
