Project duration: 24 months

To share with other countries a THB monitoring system in the framework of Best Practices regarding the harmonization of procedures for the collection, treatment, analysis and sharing of information.

Secondary (operational) Objectives:

1. To develop a Common European System to support data analyses at a transnational level, namely by sharing geo-statistical data

2. To deliver customized technical solutions and promote network of data providers

3. To extend the project to other relevant countries of origin, transit and destination in the EU and neighboring countries.

The Monitoring System for THB at EU Level: minimum set of Indicators

EU Common Key Indicators (2011):

The Monitoring System - Geographic Information Platform

This tool allows authorized users to register the location where victims where found (location awareness). With this information, it is possible to:•see the distribution of THB at regional, national and international levels;•build territorial statistics;•detect spatial patterns of the phenomena (cluster analyses)•promote an early warning system•develop synergies and facilitate the understanding of connexions among trafficking networks.

The analyses is performed with an advanced ‘Territorial Statistics’ module to study the THB phenomena, comparing its dynamics within a broader demographic, social and territorial spectrum.
