Thiamatab® 2,5 mg/5 mg Filmtabletten für Katzen. Thiamazol. Für Tiere. 1 Tablette Thiamatab® 2,5 mg enthält: Wirkstoff: Thiamazol 2,5 mg; Sonstige Bestandteile: Azorubin (E122) 0,009 mg / 1 Tablette Thiamatab® 5 mg enthält: Wirkstoff: Thiamazol 5,0 mg; Sonstige Bestandteile: Gelborange S (E110) 0,09 mg, Chinolingelb (E104) 0,075 mg. Anwendungsgebiete: Zur Stabilisierung der Hyperthyreose bei Katzen vor der chirurgischen Schilddrüsenentfernung. Zur Langzeitbehandlung der Hyperthyreose bei Katzen. Gegenanzeigen: Nicht anwenden bei Katzen mit systemischen Krankheiten wie beispielsweise primäre Lebererkrankungen oder Diabetes mellitus. Nicht anwenden bei Katzen, die Anzeichen einer Autoimmunkrankheit zeigen. Nicht anwenden bei Tieren mit Veränderungen des weißen Blutbilds wie Neutropenie und Lymphopenie. Nicht anwenden bei Tieren mit Thrombozytopathien und Koagulopathien (besonders Thrombozytopenie). Nicht anwenden bei Katzen mit Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber Thiamazol oder dem Hilfsstoff Polyethylenglycol (Macrogol). Nicht bei trächtigen oder laktierenden Katzen anwenden. Bitte beachten Sie Abschnitt „Anwendung während der Trächtigkeit, Laktation oder der Legeperiode“. Nebenwirkungen: Nebenwirkungen traten auf, wenn das Tierarzneimittel zur Langzeitbehandlung der Schilddrüsenüberfunktion angewendet wurde. In vielen Fällen wurden leichte und vorübergehende Nebenwirkungen beobachtet, die keinen Grund für einen Behandlungsabbruch darstellten. Schwerwiegendere Nebenwirkungen sind in der Regel überwiegend reversibel nach Abbruch der Behandlung. Nebenwirkungen kommen selten vor. Die am häufigsten auftretenden Nebenwirkungen sind Erbrechen, Inappetenz/Appetitlosigkeit, Antriebslosigkeit, starker Juckreiz, Exkoriationen an Kopf und Hals, Blutungsneigung und Gelbsucht in Verbindung mit Lebererkrankungen sowie Blutbildveränderungen (Eosinophilie, Lymphozytose, Neutropenie, Lymphopenie, leichte Leukozytopenie, Agranulozytose, Thrombozytopenie oder hämolytische Anämie). Diese Nebenwirkungen klingen innerhalb von 7 – 45 Tagen nach Absetzen der Thiamazol-Behandlung ab. Mögliche immunologische Nebenwirkungen sind Anämie. In seltenen Fällen können Thrombozytopenie und antinukleäre Antikörper im Serum auftreten. In sehr seltenen Fällen wurde eine Lymphadenopathie beobachtet. In diesem Fall ist die Behandlung sofort einzustellen und nach einer angemessenen Erholungsphase ist eine alternative Behandlung in Betracht zu ziehen. Bei Nagetieren wurde nach einer Langzeitbehandlung mit Thiamazol ein erhöhtes Risiko für Neoplasien in der Schilddrüse festgestellt; bei Katzen existieren dafür jedoch keine Hinweise. Darreichungsform und Inhalt: Packung mit 100 Filmtabletten. Wartezeit: Nicht zutreffend. Besondere Lagerungshinweise: Arzneimittel unzugänglich für Kinder aufbewahren. Nicht über 25 °C lagern. Blister im Umkarton aufbewahren. Vor Licht schützen. Das Arzneimittel nach Ablauf des auf Behältnis und äußerer Umhüllung angegebenen Verfalldatums nicht mehr verwenden. On behalf of the German Small Animal Veterinary Association (GSAVA; Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kleintiermedizin, DGK-DVG) it’s a great pleasure for me to invite you to attend the 20th Eurocongress of the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) and also the 60th annual Congress of the German Small Animal Veterinary Association. We are looking forward to an exciting and comprehensive, yes, an unique event in the International Conference Center Munich (ICM) from 6th - 9th of November 2014.

The International Congress Center Munich on the grounds of the Munich Trade Fair Centre is one of the most modern and successful congress centres in the world. Its prestigious and inviting atmosphere and the fact that it satisfi es all the prerequisites for events of any size makes it an outstanding venue for the FECAVA and GSAVA Congress and provides you fi rst-class amenities.

The scientifi c programme will meet the needs of today‘s small animal veterinarians. A wide range of themes will be incorporated in the scientifi c programme attracting veterinary experts and graduates as well as veterinary students. In addition to the main lectures, seminars and practical labs will give opportunity for in depth edu-cation. Researchers will be encouraged to submit abstracts in order to composea free communication programme, after an appropriate peer review process. An attractive social programme is an essential part of any successful conference.We couldn’t bring the FECAVA Congress to the Oktoberfest, so we propose to bring Munich’s world-famous beer festival to the conference. Join us on Friday evening for a night of Bavarian festivities, hearty food and Munich’s legendary beer! A Bavarian Brass Band will set the spirit of the evening.

GSAVA runs a very successful commercial exhibition each year at its annual congress. At the ICM up to 4,000 sqm exhibition space is available ensuring that all interested companies can be accommodated. Meeting rooms and conference registration will be located in close proximity to the exhibition.

Dear colleagues

As the Chair of the Scientifi c Committee, the current Director of the Center of Clinical Veterinary Medicine, and the Head of the Clinic of Small Animal Medicine of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, it is a great pleasure and an honour for me to welcome you all to the 20th Eurocongress of the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) and the 60th Annual Congress of the German Small Animal Veterinary Association in Munich. My colleagues and I have gone to every effort to make the congress most successful, and to make it a unique experience for every participant.

Participants can look forward to a very exciting scientifi c programme with a broad variety of subjects that will be of interest to all small animal veterinarians, including specialists in different fi elds of small animal practice, as well as to veterinary students.

We have invited internationally highly recognized speakers from all over the world, which will present a broad educational programme. It will include cutting edge presentations on all aspects of internal medicine and surgery in small animals, as well as small mammals and birds. The main programme also includes this year’s FECAVA Symposium on zoonosis as well as the NAVC Symposium on surgery.

To complete the programme, interesting and interactive seminars in both English and German will be offered.

In addition, research abstracts will be presented in English in form of oral pre-sentations and posters. Researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts in all disciplines. The best three oral and poster presentations will receive an award.

A special programme will be offered to veterinary technicians in English as well as in German, including seminars. Thus, we encourage you to bring your technicians to the conference.
