Maria Mancuso | IT Program Manager / Scrum Master COVER LETTER Dear Hiring Manager, I am a seasoned, proven technical project/program manager with demonstrated 23+ years of successful IT project management in various distributed technology environments. I have managed projects of all sizes and budgets that include custom SDLC development/implementations; server/client installs and decommissions; internet security programs; critical incident outages as well as massive infrastructure refresh/migrations. I have also managed a new construction project that included moving 550+ resources from corporate to a temporary swing space and then into the new facility once construction was complete. I have become a specialist in reforming in-flight, failing projects and bringing them to successful completion. I have accomplished this by transforming broken, ineffective resource groups into successful, self-directed, collaborative teams. The most recent example of this was demonstrated when I joined a critical corporate initiative that had stalled at 3 years in-flight, $4 million (100% of approved budget) spent and only 20% complete. I analyzed the current project status, and with the help of data architects and development resources, proposed a move-forward plan to the business and IT leadership. My team subsequently delivered the remainder of the project in only 18 months and limited additional expenditures to $1.2 million. I have a Master’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Project Management from a PMI-accredited institution. I am a formally certified Project Management Professional. I also have significant experience in standing up and managing agile development teams to organizations newly adopting the methodology. Please note that I stopped chasing certifications in order to roll up my sleeves and do the work. So if you seek a relentless PM with a proven track record, I'm your candidate. I have found that most people with various industry certifications may have book knowledge but are limited in their ability to apply that knowledge to real world scenarios. Let me be frank and say that I would put my experience and skills up against any certified candidate and will outperform them every day, all day.

COVER LETTER

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am a seasoned, proven technical project/program manager with demonstrated 23+ years of successful IT project management in various distributed technology environments.

I also offer robust business analysis skills as well as the regular application of critical change and quality management processes.

I enjoy opportunities that allow me to utilize the full spectrum of my capabilities to manage projects/programs within any formal methodology. I have created efficient, distributed teams to work collaboratively despite geographical and cultural differences.

I would like to speak with you further about this exciting opportunity.

Sincerely,

Maria A. Mancuso

Sr. Project Manager / Scrum MasterInformation Technology

July 2009 – November 2011 | Infrastructure Project ManagerPepsiCoPlano, TXContract (Premier SSG)

PepsiCo Inc. is an American multinational food and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York, United States, with interests in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of grain-based snack foods, beverages, and other products.

I managed critical IT initiatives necessary for business continuity and growth. These initiatives included a physical move of 550 employees being moved out of corporate in order to make room for a JDE to SAP migration strike team. The 550 employees that were chosen to move were from a shared financial services group. Therefore, their connectivity to corporate via secured WAN and even VPN for some remote workers was imperative. The swing space was handled as if it was permanent space in order to address those security risks, including a server room for their dedicated network devices. This meant that we wired, racked, and furnished the swing space, including badging hardware for secure employee access. We had to time the move into the swing space so that there was no loss of productivity due to the move. The workers packed up their desks on a Friday and reported to the new space on Monday where the contents of their desks were waiting along with all of the computer hardware and corresponding office devices. All they had to do was unpack their personal items and begin work. All equipment had been packed, moved, unpacked, connected and tested over the weekend. Once the TCAL space was successfully remodeled (PepsiCo repurposed a building on the old EDS campus), the same process was repeated for the move into the permanent space, but this time, 125 employees from the swing space and 425 from corporate were moved at the same time. I setup a war room in the new building with a team of approximately 12 IT resources where we received problem tickets, triaged the issues and then dispatched resources to resolve in real-time. This was done to prevent over-burden on our normal support operations. Our war room worked 12 hour shifts for those 3 days to resolve all problem tickets. By the 3rd day, we were able to disband the war room and resume normal business operations with the TCAL space utilizing the normal PepsiCo desktop support policies and SLAs.

I also completed two deep-dive business analysis projects and presented the results in a format conducive to executive presentation. I worked to establish unified active directory architecture by collapsing 98 international domains and 3 forests into a single global forest with 2 primary domains during an AD migration.

I implemented multiple infrastructure data pipelines to electronically send data systematically from an international HRMS to the corporate data warehouse for inclusion in all of the corporate programs and downstream tools.

Finally, I designed process and procedures to allow BIS divisions to bring mobile applications to market on the iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms.
