I am an aspiring Art therapist, currently studying Fine Art (print and time based-media) at University of Arts London, Wimbledon. I am efficient and friendly, with experience of volunteering using art both with children with severe disabilities and mainstream educated children. I have previous experience of a volunteering at a weekend club for disadvantaged youths, and I have also done some voluntary art classes in the township of Kayalisha in South Africa. I am currently seeking volunteer work to gain a vast range of experience and knowledge of working with other people.

Work Experience

Volunteer at Crisis, London (14/02/16-ongoing): Crisis is the one place I have volunteered where I have worked with mature clients with mental illness. This has taught me a great amount about how to help and communicate with people with disabilities who are older than eighteen.

Coach at Keen, London (24/01/16- ongoing): Working at Keen has given me the opportunity to work with a variety of children with different disabilities. My skills in learning how to support a child whose emotions change at a rapid pace have grown, and so has my knowledge on working with a large group of children at once.

Residency at Gasworks, London (26/10/15-ongoing): Working with the children creating art is something that I love. It is a great chance to work one-to-one with a child, and I have learnt new teaching techniques each time I have done a residency here.

Waitress at Pizza Express, London (current): Working with a wide range of people and learning how to manage different situations in the most effective way possible.

Team Member at The Co-Operative Food, Surrey, (05/12/2012 - 06/06/2013): Working with a variety of customers, being successful under pressure, and working long shifts.

Assistant at Castle Hill School for Severely Disabled, (2010): Supervising in learning activities, helping to organize and assist at meal times. This taught me to be patient and gain great communication skills in many different medias other than speech

Waitressing for dinner parties, (Ongoing): Working in a team, meeting deadlines whilst being under time restrictions, following orders and communicating with customers.

Assistant at Union Models, (2010): Updating model portfolios, tear sheeting, scanning, social networking, filing and running errands.

Kevin Jon, Assistant, (2010): Organizing, cutting materials, running errands and filing. Through this I learnt to work with a team when organizing events.

Pixie Pop 'n' Posh, Assistant, (2010): Helping customers, cleaning, running errands and working on the till.
