...Your.Daily.Fix.................CYPRESS HILLS INTERPRO-VINCIAL PARK OFFICE UP-GRADED TO BETTER SERVE VISITORSgov.ca - Cypress Hills Interprovin-cial Park will be undertaking ma-jor renovations to the existing park administration office. The reno-vated building will serve as a new combined park administration and campground office and will result in enhanced service to park visitors as well as savings to park operations and the capital program.
The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport has evaluated aspects of park operations and concluded that efficiencies can be realized by incor-porating the remote campground office functions and the park ad-ministration office functions into one combined facility located at the park entrance. The existing park administra-tion office was constructed in 1971 and requires major renovations. The existing facility does not meet current building standards and im-

provements are required to address these issues. As a part of this project, the exist-ing 25-year-old campground office, which is in need of major upgrade, will be eliminated. Its removal will alleviate current congestion and safety concerns and result in im-proved parking for the amphithe-atre area. “This major renovation will re-new the lifecycle of the building for a 25 to 30 year period,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Kevin Doherty said. “And it will enhance visitor service by providing a cen-tral park administration and camp-ground office.” The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport is contracting Amron Construction Ltd. of Redcliff, Al-berta. In the last three years, government has invested more than $3.5 million in capital upgrades at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park including a new campground development and electrical service improvements to existing campgrounds. Government is continuing to improve Saskatchewan’s Provincial Parks and in 2012 committed an additional $10 million over four years to supplement the previously enhanced provincial parks capital budget. Since 2008, government has invested $44 million to improve Saskatchewan’s Provincial Parks.

*GOLF TIP* During a game, you only have one shot to hit the ball the way you want. Take this same approach to practice. Identify a specific target and hit each practice shot with the same concen-tration you give your shots on the golf course. Go through the same pre-shot routine you use when you play. Hit and evaluate each practice shot with the same effort. Only then are you truly practic-ing the same shots you hit on the course. On average, you will be hit-ting less practice shots per session but will get much more out of the shots you hit. Additionally, you will further develop and engrain your routines - a key element to playing more consistent golf.

This Day in History - June 4th1989: Massacre in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square
It was a protest unlike anything Communist China had ever seen. Night after night, for six weeks in the spring of 1989, thousands upon thousands of students and residents poured into Beijing’s Tiananmen Square to demonstrate for democracy. It all came to a violent end in the early morning of June 4, when troops moved in with a show of force to break up the protest for good. The massacre begins shortly after midnight as tanks and armoured personnel carriers roll through the streets, crushing hastily erected barricades and into Tiananmen Square. After launching tear gas and using loudspeakers to order people to leave, the army starts shooting. But the protesters fight back, beating army offi-cers or simply standing their ground. They form human walls around foreign press to make sure the story gets out to the world.
• Exactly how many people died in Tianan-men Square is unknown; the number is a state secret. The Chinese Red Cross estimated about 2,600 civilians were killed; Globe and Mail reporter Jan Wong puts the number at about 3,000. • Between 7,000 and 10,000 people were injured.

An Old man went to the doctor complaining of a terrible pain in his leg. “I am afraid it’s just old age”, replied the
doctor, “there is nothing we can do about it.” “That can’t be” fumed the old man, “you don’t know what you are doing.” “How can you possibly know I am wrong?” countered
the doctor. “Well it’s quite obvious,” the old man replied, “my other leg is fine,
and it’s the exact same age!”
JOB INTERVIEW QUESTION
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.2. An old friend who once saved your life.3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dream-ing about. Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, know-ing that there could only be one passenger in your car? Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethi-cal dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. How-ever, you may never be able to find your perfect dream lover again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: “I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams.”Never forget to “Think Outside of the Box.”

WATER CONSERVATION TIPS INDOORS:- Keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator instead of running the tap for a cold glass of water.- Turn the tap off when brushing your teeth or shaving.- A five-minute shower with a standard showerhead uses 100 L of water. A five-minute shower with a high efficiency showerhead uses 35 L of water.- Keep showers to 5 minutes or less.- Replace conventional toilets with low-flow or high-efficiency toilets (see Toilet Rebate/Bathroom Replacement Program for more details).- To get the most out of every wash cycle only turn on dishwashers and clothes washers when they are full.- To preserve water quality and the environment, avoid using harsh chemical cleaners; instead, try friendly alternatives such as vinegar or baking soda.- Check for leaks around taps and toilets.
In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods:• On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special!)• On some Swansonn frozen dinners: Serving suggestion: Defrost. (But it’s *just* a suggestion!)• On Tesco’s Tiramisu dessert:(printed on bottom of the box) Do not turn upside down. (Too late! You lose!)• On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body. (But wouldn’t that save more time?)• On Boot’s Children’s cough medicine: Do not drive car or operate machinery. (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)• On Nytol sleep aid Warning: may cause drowsiness. (One would hope!)• On a Korean kitchen knife: Warning keep out of children. (Or pets! What’s for dinner?)• On a string of Chinese-made Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only. (As opposed to use in outer space?)• On a Japanese food processor: Not to be used for the other use. (Now I’m curious.)• On Sainsbury’s peanuts: Warning: con-tains nuts. (Really???)• On an American Airlines packet of nuts: Instructions: open packet, eat nuts. (I’m glad they cleared that up...)•On a childs superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly. (That’s right, destroy a universal childhood fantasy!)
