Smoking is very detrimental to our health and body that causes lots of infirmity.

Cigarette is a small roll of finely cut tobacco leaves wrapped in a cylinder of thin paper

for smoking. The cigarette is ignited at one end and allowed to smoulder; its smoke

is inhaled from the other end, which is held in or to the mouth and in some cases a cigarette

holder may be used as well. Most modern manufactured cigarettes are filtered and include

reconstituted tobacco and other additives.

The term cigarette, as commonly used, refers to a tobacco cigarette but can apply to

similar devices containing other herbs, such as cloves or cannabis. A cigarette is distinguished

from a cigar by its smaller size, use of processed leaf, and paper wrapping, which is normally

white, though other colors are occasionally available. Cigars are typically composed entirely of

whole-leaf tobacco.

One particular place in Legazpi City, Province of Albay which the Barangay Dap-Dap

incessantly sustain the productive living of each individual especially to the children and youths.

But when the time goes by, sustaining this productivity now and then get worst and even

decreased that leads to ineffectualness of place. Barangay Dap-Dap composed of five (5)

Puroks which three (3) of this are polluted caused of smokers’ influenced. At this point, young

smokers at their young ages already tries cigarette as their habbit. But aside from this is their

habbit, they uses cigarette as a substitute to breakfast, lunch, snack and even dinner if they

don’t have food to eat. This needs a rapid solution.

The residents of Brgy. Dap-Dap, Legazpi City must have an open forum with the subject

about the effects and causes of smoking at their young ages and they were able to be informed

and also be aware with the problem present in their barangay. So, realizing worst things might

leads to show better changes for the sake of their rich place.

And mostly, to implement properly the laws regarding this matter.

This study also proposes to have recreational activities for them to ensure their safety and to

be busy.

The research concentrates on the young smokers at Brgy. Dap-Dap, Legazpi City and

the residents of it. The project involves informatory dissemination about the effects of

continuous smoking and the corresponding laws liable for it.

Group of people must participate with the assistance of Local Government Officials

together with the residents of the site in a forum in order to reach this. Some would talk about

the subject to give information, shoe pictures (effects and causes of smoking) and the Local

Government Officials will present the laws. Finally, one will come out with and elaborate the

proposed solutions to the problem.

This will be implemented at the Barangay of Dap-Dap, City of Legazpi, Province of

This will give profit to the youths, ages 10 to 16 and the residents of Brgy. Dap-Dap,

This might be execute on summer vacation particularly April up to May when all of the

residents of Brgy. Dap-Dap are available.

The project is expected to have an initial expenses of Php 30,000.00. This will cover the

information Dissemination (transportation, snack, printing and others) and Recreational Activity.
