Since their production began in 1959, Yamaha outboards have become popular

around the world as engines for recreational boats, commercial fishing boats

and transport boats. Because outboards are used under harsh conditions and

in extreme environments, users demand a high level of durability and reliability.

Yamaha continues to meet this demand with advanced technologies developed

over many years. Yamaha outboards offer outstanding performance and that

has gain them the reputation for excellence which they enjoy today.

High-precision microcomputer control functions ensure turn-key ignition, stable idling and the kind of powerful acceleration expected when you open up the throttle. The control functions are also programmed for optimum combustion efficiency and fuel economy. And that means cleaner emissions. Lower vibration, reduced noise levels and fuel economy are also part of Yamaha's “comfort control.”

Yamaha's outboards have an unequaled reputation for reliability.A reputation like ours is not won overnight. It comes from many years of working on the challenges that arise in the world's toughest use environments. The technological expertise born of the Yamaha tradition of tackling real problems whenever and wherever they are found is what gives us the edge today in function and performance.

SERVICEOur reputation for performance, reliability and durability matches our second-to-none service. Yamaha distributors and dealers offer not only parts and service but also the very best advice and expert professional assistance when and where you need it.That's why Yamaha is a leader in customer satisfaction year after year.

Recent years have seen a shift toward outboard motors as the power of choice for larger boats due to their excellent speed performance, fuel economy, ease of mounting and maintenance, as well as the fact that they allow for more usable onboard space. As a result, there is a trend toward outboard motors with bigger power and greater speed in today's boating scene. Yamaha outboards are built to meet these needs like no others.

Your best partner: Reliability and durability are our pedigree

Yamaha continues to meet users’ demands for high durability and reliability with advanced technologies developed over decades. 222222

Our Enduro outboards are designed from the bottom up to take the strain of continuous hours of hard use. Years of rigorous testing have produced features that make the difference between motors that go the distance and those that don't.

Wherever people take to the water for fun and leisure, Yamaha has long been the name to trust. Spirited power throughout the entire speed range gives sharp response along the way. Now our carburetor two-strokes are better than ever, with models to suit diverse uses, so there’s sure to be one that suits you. Power comes from Yamaha’s proven engines combining loop charging and pulse tuning to deliver outstanding fuel economy and smooth, responsive acceleration.

Digital network (Optional)Constructs an organized digital network based on the signal transmitted from the Engine Control Module (ECM) with accurate operation by electronic remote control and a digital network gauges that display engine conditions, an alert system and inspection messages.

YDIS:Yamaha diagnostic systemDiagnoses engine trouble easily and accurately to improve serviceability when a personal computer is connected the ECM.

Variable trolling RPM/Multi-function tiller handleAdjusts to the desired trolling speed at every 50 rpm between 600 and 1000 rpm Note: Engine speeds vary depending on model.

VCT: Variable camshaft timingRegulates intake valve open/close timing according to engine load, heightens air intake efficiency and increases torque in the low to mid RPM range

Chrome-plated water pumpProtects against internal abrasion even when in muddy water with hard chrome plated water pump cartridges

High thrustIncreases the torque on the propeller shaft with a higher gear reduction ratio; and generates high thrust with the higher torque from large diameter propeller shaft turns

Electronic fuel injectionSupplies precise volumes of atomized fuel to the cylinder with accurate timing to optimize combustion for high performance, easy ignition and superior fuel economy

Long intake manifoldHelps provide the optimum amount of air to the combustion chambers, thus enabling the engine to produce maximum mid-range torque

Blow-by reburningRemoves any oil in blow-by gases and returns only fuel to the combustion chamber through the intake system, keeping exhaust gases clean (4-stroke)
