BANGALORE YOUTH TO BUSINESS FORUMAIESEC in Bangalore and the Youth Post are pleased to present to you The Youth 2 Business Forum 2.0, a Business Plan competition in which we witness 50 great ideas from the youth of Bangalore, the best ones will receive funding from our investors of up to 2 lakhs. It’s a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to get recognition as well as to network with business leaders and experts. The event also witnesses some of the best young Enterpreneurs come together and speak about their journey, the hardship towards success.

The Objective:• To promote an entrepreneurial culture in the youth of Bangalore.• To provide an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to make their business ideas come to life.• To give the youth of Bangalore an opportunity to network with like-minded students as well as business leaders.• To impart motivation to young and budding entrepreneurs through eminent speakers.

Great, you have an idea. Simply log on to http://bit.ly/y2b_2 and fill in the form to register. Keep in mind the following points:

• There are limited slots, so register quickly.

• The last date to register is 3rd November 2013.

• Remember to read the Rules and Regulations as well as the Terms and Conditions, both of which can be found on the registration page, before signing up. By registering, you are confirming that you have read and that you have no objection to any of the Rules and Regulations as well as the Terms and Conditions of Youth to Business Forum 2.0.

• The 5 line description of your idea is important. Don’t be too descriptive, but ensure that one can get the gist of your idea by reading it. This is what we will be using to filter ideas should we get excess registrations, so spend some time on it.

PREPARATION

So you’ve registered. Now what?

• Start preparing your presentation. Ready your props, PowerPoint, and any other presentation materials you might be using. The investors are not going to spend very much time at each stall, so make sure your presentation is enticing.

• Prepare your Executive Summary. This is a very important document, you will not be allowed to participate if you do not bring this to the event. It should be between 500-600 words, and should contain a basic summary of your idea, including the problem, the idea, how your idea solves the problem, and a monetization plan.

• Go through your idea again and again, do mock presentations and familiarise yourself with every aspect of your plan. Prepare for difficult questions and be aware of both the advantages and limitations of your idea.

• Be at the venue at 09:00 AM at the latest. Latecomers will not be tolerated. Be there are least half an hour in advance, preferably.

• You will have to sign a copy of our terms and conditions, as well as confirm your registration and will then be allowed to enter.

• Spend the next one hour setting up your stall and preparing yourself and your team.

• During the fair, follow the rules and regulations strictly. Any infringement of the same will not be tolerated.

• Your idea can be backed up by a team of a maximum of 5 members. It is not necessary to come with a team, an individual business plan will be treated on equal footing with that of a team.

• A participant cannot be a part of more than one team.

• Participant’s entry will be free.

• Only the top 50 Ideas will be allowed to present their ideas on the day of Youth to Business Forum 2.0 based on the 5 line description of your idea.

• Those who want to view the event will be charged an entry fee of 100 INR, which can be purchased at the venue.

• AIESEC Members can attend the event for free.

• Only a table and power supply will be provided at the venue to showcase your idea.

• Investors and other interested parties will walk around and talk to whichever teams they are intrigued by. They have limited time, so keep your sales pitch short and sweet.

• Compulsorily prepare a 500-600 word Executive summary of your idea and Business Plan for the reference of interested parties and brought on the day of Youth to Business Forum 2.0.

• You may use charts, a laptop, and other props you may require for your presentation.

• Be at the venue at 09:00 am sharp.

• Refrain from putting off your fellow ideators by using cheap tactics, anyone found doing so will be disqualified.

• The investors’ word is final. Refrain from pleading with the investors, and treat them with respect.

• Read the Terms and Conditions before you register, they will be followed strictly.

• Discretionary power in regard to a conflict, change in agenda or formulation of rules and regulations pertaining to Youth to Business Forum 2.0, lies solely with AIESEC in Bangalore and the Youth Post.

AIESEC to the Students

AIESEC to the world in General

• Y2B is a platform to bring students, corporates and investors together. AIESEC and Youth Post do not hold responsibility for any further interactions/transactions between any parties.• AIESEC and Youth Post do not endorse/promote any idea put across by any student.• The funding of an idea is the sole the discretion of the investors.• An idea cannot be invested by multiple investors.• An Investor cannot invest in the same idea more than once.• AIESEC and Youth Post shall in no way be held liable in case of further breach of contract by either of the parties.• AIESEC and Youth Post do not promote plagiarism and should not be held responsible in case of such reported incidents from either parties.• The Students are expected to follow the Rules and Regulation diligently. Lest an issue occurs, AIESEC and Youth Post shall not be liable.• Ideas/projects being funded is totally the discretion of the Investors and AIESEC and Youth Post do not play any part in the selection process. In case of the Applicant number exceeding the limit, AIESEC and Youth Post have the right to filter it to the best 50 applicants.

• AIESEC and Youth Post through its initiative of Youth to business forum is a platform to bring students and Investors together.• AIESEC and Youth Post do not endorse/promote any idea presented by the students/investors.• Y2B is a platform to present ideas. The funding of the project is the sole discretion of the Investors interested in the idea.• AIESEC and Youth Post are not a party to any contract formed between the students and the investors.• Ideas/projects being funded is totally the discretion of the Investors and AIESEC and Youth Post do not play any part in the selection process. In case of the Applicant number exceeding the limit, AIESEC and Youth Post have the right to filter it to the best 50 applicants.• The Investors are expected to follow the Rules and Regulation diligently. Lest any issue occurs, AIESEC and Youth Post shall not be liable.

It is their complete discretion to choose the projects/ideas they find worth investing.• In case of any breach of contract by either of the parties, AIESEC and Youth Post shall not be held responsible.• The money invested by the Investor in the event is out of free will and free of any sort of coercion.• An idea cannot be invested by multiple investors.• An Investor cannot invest in the same idea more than once.• An Investor although, can invest in more than one Idea.• The Investors are solely responsible for the projects/ideas they are funding. AIESEC and Youth Post shall not be held responsible in case of further discrepancies.• AIESEC and Youth Post do not take part in any selection procedure in the funding of ideas. . In case of the Applicant number exceeding the limit, AIESEC and Youth Post have the right to filter it to the best 50 applicants.• Any contract taking place through the Y2B forum between the student and the Investors, is out of bounds for AIESEC and Youth Post and they shall not be liable for any breach happening.• The Investors are expected to follow the Rules and Regulation diligently. Lest any issue occurs, AIESEC and Youth Post shall not be liable.
