recommendation on whether to make an award;• Themed awards application has two stages, first the EoI, and for successful

applicants, a second stage full proposal;• For bids over £1k, milestones, targets and expenditure details are required; • For bids over £1k successful applicants receive a formal offer which needs

to be signed by an institutional finance officer;• Payments of larger awards are phased through the life of the project,

against completion of agreed outputs with payments made on receipt of an invoice;

• For Hot Topics, Sharing Ideas, and Student Awards, the application and payment processes are simplified and kept to a minimum.
