STUDENT REFUGEE PROGRAM
TroughWUSCsStudentRefugeeProgram(SRP),Local
Committeesacrossthecountrysponsorcloseto75student
refugeestoCanadaeveryyear,enablingthemtoresettle
aspermanentresidentsandpursuetheireducationat
Canadianuniversitiesandcolleges.WUSCis theonly
organizationinthe worldthatcombinesresettlementwith
post-secondaryeducation. Tesponsorshipincludes
providingvitalsocial,academic,andfinancialsupportto
thesponsoredstudentforaminimumof12 monthsupon
theirarrivalinCanada.
Eachrefugeestudentissponsoredbya campus-based
WUSCLocalCommittee,whichcommitstosponsoring
themandraisingthenecessaryfunds atleastninemonths
inadvance.WUSCprovidestrainingandguidance
totheLocalCommitteesandfacilitatesthe overseas
selectionandpreparationofsponsoredstudentsandtheir
immigrationtoCanada.

girls4:1.Girlswant toimprovetheirschoolperformance.
