2. Points shall be awarded:

Fist technique:Delivering a punch using the tightly clenched fist.

Punch should be executed with stretched arm (power/accuracy , The body is staggered because of the power of the impact.)

When any part of the foot touches the opponent head it will be regarded as a valid point.

If both competitors remain inactive for a period of 5 seconds, the referee will call the “fight command”. If they remain inactive for a further, 10 seconds both competitors will be sanctioned with a Kyong-go.

A Kyong-go will also be declared on the competitor who moved backwards after the “fight command”.

RATIONALE Rationale: By including TA in refereeing officials, athletes

and coaches will be able to be provided with more opportunity for correction of errors in decision, if any.

In the last 10 seconds of the 3rd round and in any time during sudden death round, any of the judges can ask for review and correction of scoring when a coach does not have appeal quota.

RATIONALE Rationale: Winner of taekwondo competition is decided

very often in the last minute of the contest. When a coach does not have an appeal quota, there is no way to give another chance for review unless any of judges ask for correction. This is special measure to ensure that the scoring is corrected when there is any mistake.

In case of 12 points difference between two athletes at the time of the completion of 2nd round and/or at any time during the 3rd round, the referee shall stop the contest and shall declare the winner by point gap.

1.2 The referee shall allow the contestant one minute to receive first aid by team doctor or, in the absence of team doctor, commission doctor.

1.6 When it is judged that a contestant’s health is at risk due to lost consciousness or whose condition after a knock down appears serious, the referee shall suspend the contest immediately and order first aid to be administered by commission doctor or WTF Medical Chairperson. The referee shall declare as loser, the contestant causing the injury if it is deemed to have resulted from a prohibited attack to be penalized by “Gam-jeom”.

Sensing Socks In order to ensure that all competitors wear same version of

sensing socks, Daedo and Organizing Committee will provide the sensing socks to the competitors at the equipment distribution area of the competition venue on a free rental basis.

The model of the sensing socks to be used at all Qualification Tournaments is the same version distributed to each team in Baku World Qualification Tournament and same type will be used at 2012 London Olympic Games.
