    UNIT 1PERSONAL LWRITING: WRITING PERSONA

    It should be fun

    You write it because of your own desires

    It is like a conversation, you write what you want to say to your fri

    Write what you feel

    Dont worry too much about style, grammar, or even punctuatioas long as the letters intelligible

    It is not a writing examination, so have fun with it

    GRAMMAR : PRESENT TENSE (AGRE

    a. Defining Subject-Verb Agreement

    Subject and verbs in present tense must agree in number, singular verbs with singular endings, and same with plural subject.

    He, she and it use ans ores ending on the verb.

    b. Special Singular Constructions

    Either (of) ||neither (of) ||each (of) ||one (of) ||ever

    c. Separation of Subject and Verb

    A phrase or clause separates the subject from the verbs. Look for ththen make sure that the verb agrees with the subject.

    d. Agreement in Questions

    The subject usually follows the verb.

    Example : What is thesecret of your success? => the subjectsecretsingular verb is.

    2. Subordinating

    Example :

    Sam left the house afterhe had said goodbye to his family.

    Althoughhe didnt pass the exam, he looked very happy.

    Note : if the subordinate clause begins the sentence, a comma follows it.
