WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.
Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God
by the Kassner family.
To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.
Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.
As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

*The Psalter Lesson ....................................................................................................Psalm 23page 862 in the pew Bible
The Lord is my shepherdI shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and your staff they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ........................................................Isaiah 55:6, 7Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
(Sung by all)How sweet the name of Jesus soundsIn a believer’s ear!It soothes our sorrows, heals our wounds,And drives away our fear.
I makes the wounded spirit wholeAnd calms the troubled breast;’Tis manna to the hungry soul,And to the weary, rest.
The Corporate Confession of SinAlmighty God, you despise nothing you have made and you forgive the sins of all who are penitent. Create in us new and contrite hearts, that, truly repenting of our sins and acknowledging our brokenness, we may obtain from you, the God of all mercy, full pardon and forgiveness, through your Son, Jesus Christ, our redeemer, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
The Personal Confession of Sin (Please kneel if able to do so)
The Response—Shepherd of Tender Youth ......................................................Olivet(Sung by all)Shepherd of tender youth, guiding in love and truthThrough devious ways; Christ, our triumphant king,We come your name to sing and here our children bring to join your praise.
Forever be our guide, our shepherd and our pride,Our staff and song. Jesus, O Christ of God, by your enduring Word,Lead us where you have trod; make our faith strong.
So now, and till we die, sound we your praises highAnd joyful sing: infants, and all the throng,Who to the Church belong, unite to swell the songTo Christ, our king!

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Offertory—Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus ......................................... arr. Dian Bish
Words and Music: Helen Lemmel | arr. Diane Bish | ©1989 Singspiration, Inc.
O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s light for a look at the Savior, And life more abundant and free!
Turn you eyes upon Jesus, Look full in his wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim In the light of his glory and grace. His word shall not fail you, he promised; Believe him and all will be well; Then go to a world that is dying, His perfect salvation to tell!

Evening Prayers
Offertory—In the Hours .......................................................................................Twit
Words: Helen L. Parmelee, 1864 | alt. Kavin Twit | Music: Kevin Twit, |©2007 Kevin Twit Music
In the hours of pain and sorrow, When the world brings no relief, When the eye is dim and heavy, And the heart oppressed with grief, While blessings flee, Savior Lord we trust in thee! While blessings flee, Savior Lord we trust in thee!
When the snares of death surround us, Pride, ambition, love of ease, Mammon with her false allurements, Words that flatter, smiles that please. Then ere we yield, Savior Lord be thou our shield. Then ere we yield, Savior Lord be thou our shield.
When forsaken in distress, Poor, despised and tempest-tossed, With no anchor here to stay us, Drifting, sail and rudder lost, Then save us thou, who trod this earth with weary brow. Then save us thou, who trod the earth with weary brow.
Thou the Father’s best beloved, Thou the throned and sceptered King, Who but thee should we adoring, All our prayers and praises bring? So blessed are we, Savior Lord in loving thee. So blessed are we, Savior Lord in loving thee.
