Background • Mitr Phol Group treasures the value of sugarcane as it is the core input of our businesses.

• In order to have sustainable supply of cane, we have to ensure that cane farmers have

good standard of living.

• Mitr Phol Group always treat Cane farmers like our family. As we always believe in our

philosophy of “Growing Together”.

• Currently, the major problem of cane farmers in Thailand is the mismatch of their incomes

and expenses. resulting in accumulated debts.

• In order to keep cane farmers in the cane field, Mitr Phol’s Sustainable Community

Development team is formed with the objective to work closely with cane farmers in

improving their qualities of life. 44
