About WoHIT 2016
The new HIMSS Europe World of Health IT (WoHIT) Conference & Exhibition will be taking place on 21–22 November 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. The event will gather top European healthcare stake-holders and will be the meeting point for the entire eHealth ecosystem.
WoHIT will encompass five main summits and will be addressing current and challenging topics relevant to the whole European healthcare community. These
include active and healthy ageing, cybersecurity threats, genomics, personalised medicine and fulfilling the mHealth promise. Through a number of educational sessions, you can listen and learn from the most experienced speakers in their field. Together with a series of workshops, hospital tours and an interactive exhibition floor; WoHIT 2016 will address best practices, practical solutions and cutting edge developments in eHealth.

HIMSS Communities SummitThe HIMSS Communities are expanding rapidly and have be-come an essential part of our programme. Delegations from The Netherlands, France, Ibero- America, the Nordic region and Turkey will gather at WoHIT on an annual basis. The event will provide a solid platform for all communities to come together and exchange learnings and new developments during their tailored sessions and also includes an exclusive HIMSS Community dinner.
mHealth SummitThe mHealth Summit will be back for its third consecutive edition. The Summit will provide thought leadership on how we can fulfil the mHealth promise by addressing the key oppor-tunities and challenges that Europe faces today. The Summit, which combines a full educational track and a dedicated area on the exhibition floor, intends to answer the burning questions around mHealth: who should be driving and paying for mHealth? How can we unite all patient data to deliver personalised care?
Cybersecurity SummitThe Cybersecurity Summit will be the first of its kind in a European setting. Cyber threats are becoming more apparent and can no longer be ignored: how are we going to tackle them in a healthcare context? How will we go about provid-ing care despite security issues? The educational track and interactive exhibition space intend to address these questions amongst many others.
Genomics SummitNext-generation sequencing solutions are helping to create a new future in healthcare. Our first ever Genomics Summit will review recent develop ments in genetic health and will address key topics which are essential in the development of healthcare. The Summit will give you an opportunity to interact with colleagues, hear from experts, and participate in panel discussions.
CIO SummitThe seventh edition of the CIO Summit will be organised by the HIMSS Stage 6&7 Community and will gather all European IT Directors and Senior Healthcare IT Executives for a dedicated CIO track. The objective is to address real challenges and issues that hospital C-Suite executives face on a daily basis, as well as share success stories and exchange knowledge and experiences. CIO Summit attendees will also benefit from a dedicated Hospital Tour.

We realise the importance and value of mixing with colleagues and meeting new people, which is why networking during the World of Health IT will be plentiful! The exhibition floor will be a busy and vibrant area for delegates to come together during the day in many areas including the HIMSS Europe Meet & Greet Lounge, but we have also arranged for all attendees to network in a more relaxed atmosphere in the evenings.
WOW-HITWOW-HIT is the name given to the first networking reception: it will be our pre-conference get together on the evening before WoHIT officially kicks-off. All attendees are invited to join this “warm-up” reception to meet and greet fellow delegates and speakers from across the globe. As the name itself suggests, the reception will be an absolute hit, so it’s definitely one not to miss!
WoHIT DinnerOn the second evening you will be invited to a sit-down dinner with a twist: there will be a seating plan! The idea is for you to meet new people and get the chance to exchange experi-ences and knowledge with someone you would have otherwise maybe never met! You will also of course have the chance to catch up with friends and colleagues during the dinner. This will be taking place in the top floor of the CCIB, boasting breath-taking views of the Mediterra-nean coast line.
