WOODGROVE SECONDARY SCHOOL COACH! (COme to AChieve new Heights!) PROGRAMME 2019 [for 4 Express / 5 Normal (Academic)]

When?

From Term 3 Week 1 to 9 and Term 4 Week 2 to 4. What is it?

● Part of the Academic Excellence programme for our 4E/5NA classes conducted after curriculum hours.

● A continuation (not separate initiative) of the school curriculum. How is it structured?

● To avoid over-taxing the students and teachers, there will be different subject focusses in the different days of the week during Term 3 of COACH implementation.

● COACH slots are allocated Monday to Thursday. The first 45 min is compulsory for the whole class and the next 45 min would be consultation for selected students based on their MYE results and/or Subject Teachers’ recommendation.

Note to teachers: ● Please adhere to the given COACH & Consultation timing.

o Monday & Wednesday (Compulsory: 2.45 – 3.30pm; Consultation: 3.30 – 4.15pm)

o Tuesday & Thursday (Compulsory: 2.15 – 3.00pm; Consultation: 3.00 – 3.45pm)

● When teachers who are scheduled for COACH/Consultation are not able to go

to class due to official reasons, HOD/SH/LH is to help plan for a (stand-by) teacher to relief the slots allocated.

*For only Term 3 Week 1, the whole 1.5 hour COACH session could be used for the whole class to allow the students to settle in from their June break, and also to provide students an overview of how the Consultation sessions will take place and can be maximized for those are involved and not involved, across the different subjects.
