Given that managers should focus on the meaning of things to be done by others, that the leader is an important function of management. This function has evolved from Fayol's conception that the command or order shall be passed to the achievement of the work to which an order to function drive or drive-motivation and finally to its current form - the leader.

To be a leader and a manager is not the same. A manager is a person formally recognized in the hierarchy of the organization. A good manager is always a good leader, but a good leader is not necessarily a good manager.

Leadership is influencing the behavior of subordinates phenomenon, using tools such as psycho-social (motivation, involvement in achieving the objectives, generating satisfaction).

The management has a psychosocial nature since it relies on three fundamental elements: group influence and purpose.

A very important aspect is that the leadership is based on team spirit, it consists in accepting employees to think, act and behave harmonized, according to a well defined and shared.

In the foreground differences between a man and a woman manager, try to find an answer to the discrimination that organizations are generally referring to the sex of the person who leads.

In most cases, it was observed that men and women differ significantly in terms of attitudes, behaviors and interests that you have. These different attitudes and behaviors are influenced and developed by certain social and cultural norms of the society in which men and women live.

Never a man and a woman will not reach a consensus will not agree on a certain point of view, and perhaps for this reason there are some conflicts that are triggered in the business of an organization.

It is very difficult to analyze women, they generally are more difficult and avoids some answers just to not show weakness, while men are more direct and more confident in themselves and perhaps for this reason the majority of leadership positions are males. But even women can be conductive!

A study by a renowned American consulting firm, in 2006, showed that women are much more effort to convince their superiors that they are competent, unlike men who are trying to show that the manager know far less than of their boss, the idea not seem a threat, in order to be promoted. In general, men and women develop the skills, focusing rather on those occupations considered suitable to their lifestyle, their skills and what they really want to practice.
