    In India, women entrepreneurship is a

    recent topic which started only after the

    1970s with the introduction of the Womens

    Decade (1975 to 1985) and which mostly

    picked up in the late 70s.

    This phenomenon was particularly visible

    only in the metropolitan and state capitals

    in India.
