Self-confessed yo-yo dieter Vanessa Feltz, 54, who at her biggest was a size

24, has finally got her weight under control by waking up to the dangers of sugar.

‘I eat veg smoothies instead of fruit, which are packed with sugar,’ reveals the grandmother- of-two, who is 3st lighter than her heaviest. ‘Every sip oozes pure sugar and every glass far more calories than we’d manage to consume if we chomped our way through the fruit itself.’

Fighting the urge for the white stuff, such as her favourite Krispy Kreme doughnuts, combined with a gastric band fitted over five years ago, means radio host Vanessa is now a size 12-14 and, as this new pic shows, she looks better than ever!

‘It’s like an internal policeman,’ says the 5ft 2in star of her band. ‘It does help because you have to eat a great deal less and more slowly and chew

everything about 12,000 times. It stops me overeating, so it relieves the whole thing about worrying about what you’ve eaten and feeling guilty afterwards. You just can’t.’

And the former Strictly contestant is now reaping the rewards. ‘I’m not wearing ‘fat

ladies’ clothes’ any more!’ she says proudly.

‘It’s a fabulous feeling.

Suddenly you can wear whatever the hell you like!’ We think you

look fabulous, Vanessa!

What’s stopping you getting the body you want? These celebs reveal how they slimmed down

Since gaining 3st during her pregnancy back in 2014, ex-Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, 34, stayed focused on slimming down slowly, making

workable changes to her diet, such as following SlimFast and ditching pasta to save extra calories. ‘I’ve just discovered a spiralizer, so sometimes I’ll make courgetti with chicken, pesto, tomato and mozzarella,’ says newlywed Kimberley. ‘I love courgetti. When I’m trying to create a 600-cal dinner as part of the SlimFast plan, it leaves me more calories to play with!’

Following SlimFast means Kimberley doesn’t have to cut out her savoury snacks completely. ‘I’d struggle with a diet plan that only has sweet food. SlimFast snacks suit me because there are savoury options.’

She’s in the middle of a gruelling 104-

date world tour and Brit-award winner Adele is looking better than ever – and it’s all thanks to ditching endless cups of sugary tea.

‘I used to drink 10 cups a day with two sugars in each, so I was on 20 sugars a day,’ the mum- of-one, 27, reveals. ‘Now

I don’t drink it I have more energy than ever,’ she says. And cutting out sugar along with cigarettes means Adele’s new lifestyle is having real results.

‘I was trying to get some stamina for my tour, so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes – which was a big problem for me.’

Kimberley takes it slowly

She’s well known for her yo-yo dieting, but Greedy Girl’s Diet

author Nadia Sawalha, 51, shocked fellow Loose Women panellists by revealing how she has now beaten a secret binge- eating addiction, caused by low self-esteem.

‘I always used to overeat,’ says the star, who admits she stole money from her dad to buy biscuits. ‘And when I say overeat, I mean where somebody would feel a bit down and have a couple of slices of toast, I’d have the whole loaf.’

Nadia reveals she became a compulsive eater to help control her emotions, and her cycle of binge eating escalated. ‘I would have to scrape leftovers in the rubbish and pour washing-

up liquid over so I couldn’t eat it,’ she admits.

Help came in the form of Overeaters Anonymous, where the mum-of-two learnt to rethink her relationship with food. ‘I’m a very different person now,’ she says. ‘Food is there to nourish me and my family. I love to cook and love to eat, but I no longer eat to shut up my feelings.’ Keep up the positive work, Nadia.
