RISING ABOVE THE CHALLENGE

Traveling can be hectic. Sometimes it’s the little things that make you feel athome. Other times it’s the things you see on your world travels that make youwant to bring the world back home. RMG Networks had a vision of specificallytailoring its existing RMG Airline Media network, and transforming it to create anever before seen offering. The content experience was visualized from theconsumer’s point of view and figured out what kind of content they would like tosee as they set out to travel.

Arriving at each location monthly, RMG Network estimates that it delivers 8.2million impressions each month. With 8.2 million people traveling throughlocations where its Airline Media Network is deployed, RMG Networks and LGrecognized an opportunity to transform a digital advertising network. RMGdeveloped a content platform that deployed the use of LG’s 84-inch class) UltraHD Displays, but with something special added –the content is running in 4Kresolution. In normal out-of-home display networks, advertisers can run contentin full 1080 resolution. With this installation, LG has proved that with video wallsof yesterday have been transformed with the forthcoming 84-inch class UltraHD. Integrators don’t have to look past creating vast installations that have beenthe standard for years, but can get high-quality displays running breath-takingcontent. LG UHD TVs have 4 times the resolution of HD TVs, delivering a new andattractive advertising platform.

MASTERING THE SKY

RMG Networks wanted to reach for the sky –and with LG Electronics and majordomestic airless across the country, they did just that. The digital display networkcreated combines relevant content from automatic RSS feeds along withadvertising and airline messaging, targeted to the upscale traveler frequentlyvisiting the airline executive clubs. The audiences viewing the screens in the airlineexecutive clubs have long been the very highly sought-after demographicadvertisers have been trying to reach and reach effectively.

The digital ad network has produced an experience where high-end, luxury brandshave not only felt comfortable advertising, but have saw the emergingopportunity to advertise in 4K content. LG and RMG networks have chosen someof the world’s busiest international airports to begin touching down. Withinstallations at New York’s JFK, Los Angeles’ LAX, Atlanta’s Hartsfield-JacksonInternational, Boston’s Logan International and Ronald Regan WashingtonNational, these airports have among the highest dwells times in the country.Advertisers are even targeting travelers that frequently visit those locations, andtailoring their ads to meet their needs.
