WHEELIE BIN LIFT DESCRIPTION
The BaseWaste range of Wheelie Bin Lifts are designed to lift and tip a 120 or 240 Litre wheelie bin at a discharge height of between 1000mm and 2500mm. The Wheelie Bin Lift is robustly constructed from mild steel with a durable powder coated finish. Lifting with the Wheelie Bin Lift is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. The Wheelie Bin Lift can be supplied is to be bolted to the floor or can be mobile on castors.

SAFETY GUARD TO PD 5304:2005 SAFETY OF MACHINERY
The Wheelie Bin Lift safety guard is constructed from 50 x 25mm mild steel box section and 1.5mm mild steel panels. The guard encloses the Wheelie Bin Lift to a height of 2200mm on two sides with a reduced height guard at the front depending on the discharge height.

ELECTRICAL CONTROL
This Wheelie Bin Lift is fitted with a Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the safety guard. The machine has ‘dead man’s handle’ control such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the Wheelie Bin Lift to operate. As soon as the button is released, the machine will stop. The control panel has the facility for a ‘Call to Run’ signal to be connected if required. The drive motor has a separately excited brake that is powered to release.
WHEELIE BIN LIFT APPLICATION STORY
The emptying of wheelie bins, other than into refuse vehicles, has generally been a manual operation which contravenes Health & Safety Regulations and has the potential to cause serious back and other injuries. The BaseWaste range of Wheelie Bin Lifts allows an operator to load a bin into the lifting carriage easily and effortlessly allowing the lifting and manipulation of the wheelie bin to be carried out literally by the press of a button.
The wheelie bin is securely retained into the lift carriage to prevent it from falling out and the safety guard combined with the ‘dead man handle’ control ensure an entirely safe handling operation. Each Wheelie Bin Lift within the range covers a 500mm spread of discharge heights in 100mm increments which can be set by the user by simply moving the tipping cam assembly to the required discharge position. The Safe Working Load of all machines is 300Kgs allowing even a fully loaded 240 Litre wheelie bin to be discharged.
The Wheelie Bin Lift uses a chain driven lifting arrangement with each lifting chain having a 7:1 safety factor. The Wheelie Bin Lift can either be bolted to the floor or can be mobile on castors.
