Northumberland Wildlife Trust is the largest, non-government funded environmental charity in the region working to safeguard all native wildlife.One of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK, Northumberland Wildlife Trust has campaigned for nature conservation for over 40 years. The North Northumberland Wildlife Watch Group is open to young people and their parents/guardians. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are both indoors and outdoors so please wear appropriate warm, waterproof clothing and footwear.

Osprey Watch 2015Contact: Leaplish Waterside Park, 01434 251 000Osprey Watch 2015 will begin in May/June, depending on when the adults return to nest. The watch will take place every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday (including Bank Holidays) until the chicks fl edge in July/August. The Osprey Watch is located behind the Boat Inn restaurant & bar - follow signage from the car park or ask staff for more details. Leaplish Waterside Park features panoramic views across the water and allows for opportunities to see the Kielder ospreys. Visitors can also enjoy footage of the ospreys at the Boat Inn restaurant & bar, with close-up views of the nest through a live video feed. Get Wildlife Watching!

Join our North Northumberland Wildlife Watch Group for a wide range of fantastic wildlife-themed activities! From building bird boxes to scavenger hunts and willow weaving, you’ll make friends with other nature detectives and have lots of fun!

Meetings take place every second Sunday of the month, from 2.00pm - 4.00pm, and cost £2.50 per child per session (which includes all materials and refreshments).The sessions are suitable for children age 5-12 years old (children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult). Activities are based at either Hunting Hall, Beal or Lowick Village Hall.
