The Weld Safe cylinder lift is the ideal way of lifting, moving and positioning gas cylinders safely into place on weldingmachines or around the work place.

Designed with safety in mind it greatly reduces the risk of muscular or back injury through manual lifting whilst improvingstability during transportation over traditional methods such as cylinder trolleys or manually rolling.

Other uses for the Weld Safe cylinder lift are for movement of cylinders in factories, schools, laboratories and manyother industries.

Moblie Welding Curtains & Frames

Welding curtains and strip are designed for the protection of employees within eyesight of welding and some cutting processes.They provide protection from UV (Ultra Violet) and Blue Light which can inflict damage to eyesight.

Bronze, Red and Green 6 curtains are transparent which assist in maintaining a safe working environment. They allow anelement of vision into the welding area improving safety by maintaining vision of employees. Transparency also reduces thefeeling of isolation for the welding operator. Green 9 is a dark green non transparent material suitable for areas of intenseradiation and should also be used when separating adjoining welding bays.

All Weld Safe curtains conform to EN 1598.

Curtains and strips are self extinguishing and can withstand welding and grinding sparks. They will however not withstandopen fire. Whilst providing protection against radiation they are not suitable for observing welding works and are not to beused as a substitute for welding helmets with filter lenses.

The construction of a designated and properly constructed welding areaplays a vital role in any modern workshop.Employers are duty bound to provide protection not only to the weldingoperator but also employees at risk from the process in adjoiningworkspaces.

Weld Safe bays provide this protection.

Welding bays provide a barrier to adjoining spaces against weld spatterand sparks from associated grinding and finishing processes. This notonly provides the necessary protection to personnel in adjoining areasbut also greatly improves fire safety by limiting the spread of hot spatterand sparks. PVC welding curtains used also assist in reducing thespread of noise.

The containment of these hazards can also assist in improving workflow and productivity through the shop.

The Brief

Our brief was to manufacture an enclosure for use in a busy production area. Our client required to be able to weld heavy1.2m x 1.2m casting dies within the production area to reduce downtime.The safety officers wanted screening with 100% no gaps between the curtain material.

The Solution

Our solution was to produce a screen enclosure with curtains bolted directly to the frame. The enclosure was made as twohinged sections which when opened connect into each other. One side is also hinged to allow access.

The end result is a practical enclosure providing a large internal space which has now become one of our standard products.

Multi-process capability in one unit ! Suitable for MMA, TIG, PLASMA the Weld Safe Mobileenables repairs to be carried out safely inside or outside the workshop. A 6mm steel topprovides a stable worksurface.

Downtime reductions are easily achievable. With storage room inside for consumablesand equipment set up ready response time for breakdowns can be greatly reduced.Our optional fume extraction unit sits neatly in the bottom of the unit and enablesharmful fumes to be removed at source protecting both operator and employees inthe adjacent workspace.Our unique optional powercluster assembly is a multi voltage powercluster assembly.We can incorporate a number of power points in 240v, 415v or 110v with transformer fitted.The advantage of the powercluster is you can simply plug into one supply to power upall equipment and have a 110v auxiliary supply if required.The standard welding version has a solid one piece worktop, welding and cutting versionhas cutting grate and water trough to catch sparks.

Constructed from 40mm box section frames

and solid 5mm thick steel base these units aremanufactured to withstand the toughestof environments.

Epoxy powder coated in safety yellow forTough durable finish.

Forklift pockets 165mm x 65mm

Weld Safe cylinder pallets are constructed to withstand the rigours of daily use. They provide a safe method of transportingand storing cylinders in a secure upright position. The range consists of pallets for transporting cylinders through to palletsdesigned to improve manual handling of welding and cutting equipment.

Individual test certificate can be supplied if required at extra cost.

Construction

All Weld Safe pallets are manufactured to a high standard to a proven and tested design. Bases are a one piece CNC folded5mm thick steel plate with main frames fabricated in 40mm x 40mm box sections. For added secureness CNC plasma profilebrackets are used to mould to the cylinders shape (excluding 4 cylinder transport pallet) this added feature maintains thecylinders in a perfectly upright position at all times. All pallets are bead blasted and epoxy powder coated in safety yellowfor a durable finish.

Please note dimensions shown for distance between fork pockets on each pallet for compatibility with your forklift truck.

Cutting Unit

The Weld Safe oxy / fuel gas cutting unit is the ideal solution for demanding on site applications.

Heavy duty all steel construction means the unit can easilywithstand the rigours of daily use on factory andconstruction sites. With a footprint size of 900mm sq itprovides a stable platform for equipment, reducing the riskof falling cylinders when compared to traditional cylindertrolleys. Forklift pockets all around and lifting eye are standard.

The unit houses two oxygen and one fuel gas cylinder providing extended

cutting time in-between cylinder changeovers. Regulators are mounted ona manifold assembly and cylinder connections are via flexible hoses. Thisreduces the risk of damage during cylinder change over. Very often in cuttingapplications regulators without gauges are fitted due to the risk of damageand frequency of replacement. With our system, twin gauge regulators are amore viable option enhancing safety. Two of the major causes of flashbacksare incorrect pressure settings and damaged equipment.
