Poetry Workshop Onthe13April2019JoziBookFairhadaworkshopwith42learnersfromdifferentschoolsatKhanyaCollege.Theworkshopaimedtoteachlearnersaboutslampoetry.ThesessionwasfacilitatedbyMasaiDabulawherehetaughtthemaboutdifferentkindsofpoetry,itspurposeandhowpoetrycanformpartoftheireverydaylives.Theworkshopwastoteachthemthebasicsofpoetry,howeveritwasclearfromtheworkshopthatsomelearnersareverypassionateaboutpoetry.Learnerswerealsogiventipsofhowtokeeptheirpoemsshortandsweet.Learnersalsogotachancetoperformtheirpoetry,gotthefacilitatortolookattheirwrittenworkandgivethemcomments,everyonewashappy.

Shut down ANC SouthAfricausedtobebetterwithabalancedeconomyandjobswhenThaboMbekiwasstillincharge.WhenJacobZumacametopower,hedidnotjustlietousbuthedestroyestheeconomyandthecountryasawhole.HefurtherbroughtmorecorruptiontotheANC,noweveryANCcandidateisprovedtobecorrupt,andwecannotputthecountryinthehandsofcorruptpeople.Weseenowthestreetsaredirty,robotsdonotwork,metropolicearebeingbribed.IfwedonotshutdownANC,manypeoplewillsuffer.

Democracy did not spoil usParentsturntoblamethegovernmentfortheirchildren’sunrulybehaviorsincetheabolishmentofcorporalpunishment.Itotallydisagreewiththatbecausechildrenusuallydowhattheyseetheirparentsdo.Someparentsfailtoraisetheirchildrenwell.Achildbehavesunrulyiftheywerenotraisedrightandparentsdonotengagewiththeirchildrenandtheirschoolactivities.Parentsneedtobemoreactiveintheirchildren’slivesandstopusingthegovernmentasscapegoats,childrentaketheirparentsasrolemodelsandparentsneedtoplaythatrole.
