Your “Task” for Day One:
After researching the Introduction to the Common Core State Standards on the values and structure of the standards, write an essay that identifies the problems involved in implementation and argues for a [LDC-Paideia] solution. Be sure to examine competing views.

2. Now read the Introduction slowly and begin filling in your graphic organizer as you read.
3. When you have finished, share briefly with a partner.

LDC-Paideia ModulesAn LDC “module” is a unit of study that starts with a “template task” that has the CCSS literacy standards hardwired in. Teachers then put in their own subject-area content.
Each LDC-Paideia module stresses the CCSS speaking & listening standards in addition to reading & writing.
