Learning outcomes :The ss will be able aquainted with the following new words:

Profession,gigantic,saplingsThey will be able to answer the questions relating to the text and about the importance of trees.

Again look at the picture

There are many tender plants. They are saplings.

Look at the picture once again.

The tree looks very large. It is gigantic.

The ss will be asked to read the passage silently for the following activities.

Answer the following questions in pairs.

(a)Who is Kartik Poramanik?

(b)Why did he plant trees?

(c) Where did he plant trees?

The answer to the above questions.

(a)Kartik poramanik is a hair dresser.

(b) He started planting tress at four.

(c ) He planted trees by the side of roads,follow land and so on.

The ss will be asked to write a paragraph on ‘Tree Plantation’ as home task and bring the same at the next class.
