What you need for class:
You need to have these materials ready for class EVERYDAY: Pencil One composition notebook, or
sketchbook if you prefer (cost = $1) We will draw and write in the notebook
Your notes/classwork/artwork which will be kept in the classroom in your Art Folder
Class Rules:
Always bring materials to class I will have random daily grades
Don’t talk without permission Don’t leave your seat without
permission No throwing, damaging, or using
materials in an irresponsible manner Stay on task
Things to remember: Off limits:
Teacher’s desk Markerboard Art materials we’re not
using Closets Other people’s artwork
When I raise my hand: Stop, Look, and Listen! Raise your hand too, so I
know you’re paying attention
Use the restroom and get water BEFORE class starts
ALWAYS bring your agenda to class
NEVER ask me for a pencil
NEVER ask me what we’re doing before you READ IT ON BOARD FIRST

Grading policy:
There will be studio art projects, written assignments, and occasional quizzes
All grades carry equal weight Art projects will be deducted 10
points for every day late I rarely assign homework
Class procedures:
Arrive to class quietly and on time Read and follow instructions written
on the board Work on assigned activity or lesson Make sure any art materials are put
away and your area is clean Wait quietly in your seat for the
teacher to dismiss class
Weekly helpers
Each table of 3-4 people will have an assigned helper
The helper is responsible for gathering and putting away the materials for his/her group
Helpers will rotate for each week Helpers need to check to make sure
materials were not damaged by their group members

A quick way to tell me what you need Simply hold up your hand and give me
the signal that corresponds to your need:
Sharpen Pencil
Go to restroom
Get water
