WELCOME TO 8th GRADE Visual Arts

Dear Parent(s) and Student, Welcome to the start of a successful year at Ferrahian! In this class we will focus on visual arts and enhancing our inner creative expression. I believe there is an artist in everyone and I am excited to work closely with the 8th graders and tapping into their imagination. This class follows the Visual Arts standards for 8th grade. It will incorporate the elements of art, principles of design, art media and technique, and connect these topics to our every surroundings. In addition to studying these aspects of art, we will focus on developing our artistic perception, creative expression, and critical thinking. This course guide will show you how to be successful in this class. Please read the information carefully. I look forward to a great year! Sincerely, Ms. Sedda Antekelian Room 105 Teacher Website: http://santekelian.weebly.com Email: [email protected] Conference Hours: MWF 1:00-1:30 and/or 3:30-4:00pm
