Writing our own catalog poems:1. Make a graphic organizer for all five senses

related to things that make you happy.1. At least 3 things for each sense

2. Select at least eight that you want to include in your poem1. At least one from each sense

3. Write each selected thing as specifically as possible1. Example: Not just “coffee” but a “grande, iced, sugar-

free, vanilla latte with soy milk from Starbucks”

4. Now organize them into a poem!1. Look back at Nye’s “Daily” for ideas—Pg 495
