THEATRE TRIP: We are so excited that 50 of our students are coming to see School of Rock w ith us on the 28th September! If your child has been fortunate enough to secure a place on this theatre visit, parents / carers have been emailed today, confirming their place. If you have not received this email, but have paid money for the trip, unfortunately your child did not get a place this time. We have these children on a reserve list in case anyone has to drop out (and will contact individual parents directly if a place does become available). Our finance team will be in touch to arrange refunds. Interest in this trip has been unprecedented, with all places being taken up within 4.5 hours of the letter being emailed out; this has not happened in my 15 years of organising theatre visits at Langtree! It is simply wonderful that so many of our school community are excited to get back to the theatre again, and this has inspired us to organise more theatre visits in the very near future. Keep checking the bulletin for details! Mrs Pimm

ALL YEARS—SPONSORED WALK 1st October 2021: Each year we hold a very successful Sponsored Walk to raise money for a range of additional school equipment. In addition to the financial benefits to the school, the event is an extremely valuable experience for students in terms of promoting healthy activity, positive social interaction with their peers and staff, physical fitness and an appreciation of our local countryside. We are inviting parents to support the walk by volunteering to act as marshals. If you would like to help, please use this link https://forms.gle/xk9KPzNCdtM6oFGo9 to fill in the online form (or email Cindy Thatcher on [email protected]). Marshals will be contacted with further information in due course. More details about the sponsored walk and a copy of the sponsor form can be found HERE.

ALL YEARS: Christmas Hampers: At Christmas we collect donations from our school community and use these to make up festive food hampers for the senior members of our community. Each year we try to ensure that the list of potential recipients is kept up to date. If you are aware of a member of the community that would benefit from a festive hamper please contact Mrs belcher.

Woodcote Primary School are looking for a community governor: full details about the role and how to apply can be found HERE.

The School Health Nurse team have put together a September Newsletter, please take a look. It includes some information about the flu and covid immunisations

Lateral Flow Testing DO take the LF test twice a week and report your result following the instructions in your test kit.

DO Confirm a positive LF test result by getting a PCR test - The household should start self-isolating and you should book a PCR test appointment or order a PCR test kit to be delivered to your home. If

the PCR test is negative, the household can stop self-isolating DON’T use the LF test for your primary or pre-school aged children

If they have been instructed to self-isolate as a contact of a COVID case – a negative result (either LF or PCR) will NOT allow your child to return to school or nursery before the end of their 10-day

self-isolation period.

DON’T use the LFD test if your child or anyone in the household has COVID symptoms. If you, your child or anyone in the household has COVID symptoms, they must book a PCR test.

Additional kits can be collected from Mrs Taylor-Lane at anytime if students run out.
