Week 8 Term 4 2016
White Ribbon Day
Last Friday we celebrated White Ribbon Day.
We focused on ‘Respectful Relationships’.
Stage 3 students had a visit from Richmond
HS, we had a mufti day and we also
participated in some fantastic peer support
activities which incorporated activities on
child safety from the Daniel Morcombe
Foundation.
Stage 3 Camp
Next week will be the Stage 3 camp. Our stage 3 students have been
looking forward to this event all year. Thank you to all the parents for
supporting your children to go to this great experience. It will hold
life long memories.
Kurt Fearnley
We have been extremely lucky and have managed to have Kurt
Fearnley, 5 time Para Olympian attend our Years 1-6 Celebration of
Learning Assembly. We are very excited about having him at our
school and presenting some awards.
Trees
The trees in our car park are being removed the week before
Christmas. We are very aware that it will drastically change our
landscape. We are already planning to establish new gardens and
landscaping as part of our Aboriginal and Environmental programs in
2017.
Gardens
Please be mindful of our beautiful gardens and keep your little ones
out of them. Many of our blooming agapanthus plants have been
broken off. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Chess
Congratulations to our
amazing Chess team for
coming 6th in the NSW
Championships on the
weekend. Ryan won every
game, achieving the highest
overall score. Jasmine and
Zac played extremely well
too. Thanks again to Gary Lane for all his coaching expertise.
Not long to go now!
