Week 8 Term 4 2016 White Ribbon Day Last Friday we celebrated White Ribbon Day. We focused on ‘Respecul Relaonships’. Stage 3 students had a visit from Richmond HS, we had a muſti day and we also parcipated in some fantasc peer support acvies which incorporated acvies on child safety from the Daniel Morcombe Foundaon. Stage 3 Camp Next week will be the Stage 3 camp. Our stage 3 students have been looking forward to this event all year. Thank you to all the parents for supporng your children to go to this great experience. It will hold life long memories. Kurt Fearnley We have been extremely lucky and have managed to have Kurt Fearnley, 5 me Para Olympian aend our Years 1-6 Celebraon of Learning Assembly. We are very excited about having him at our school and presenng some awards. Trees The trees in our car park are being removed the week before Christmas. We are very aware that it will drascally change our landscape. We are already planning to establish new gardens and landscaping as part of our Aboriginal and Environmental programs in 2017. Gardens Please be mindful of our beauful gardens and keep your lile ones out of them. Many of our blooming agapanthus plants have been broken off. Thank you in advance for your co-operaon. Chess Congratulaons to our amazing Chess team for coming 6th in the NSW Championships on the weekend. Ryan won every game, achieving the highest overall score. Jasmine and Zac played extremely well too. Thanks again to Gary Lane for all his coaching experse. Not long to go now!

Week 8 Term 4 2016

White Ribbon Day

Last Friday we celebrated White Ribbon Day.

We focused on ‘Respectful Relationships’.

Stage 3 students had a visit from Richmond

HS, we had a mufti day and we also

participated in some fantastic peer support

activities which incorporated activities on

child safety from the Daniel Morcombe

Foundation.

Stage 3 Camp

Next week will be the Stage 3 camp. Our stage 3 students have been

looking forward to this event all year. Thank you to all the parents for

Kurt Fearnley

We have been extremely lucky and have managed to have Kurt

As the term draws to a close, students are encouraged to return

all library books to the library as I am currently stocktaking.

Canteen News The time has come to say GOOD BYE. It is time to move on.

I would like to thank the School, P & C Assoc. , all past and

present volunteers, Robyn, Sue and Carolyn in the office for

their never ending help and support over the past 11 years.

Also to Steve Ashley of Civic Pest Mgmt. for keeping the

Canteen bug free and Janelle Keys of Picture

This…….Graphics for the great labels for all the baked

goods, your contribution has brought a professional feel to

the Canteen. Last, but not by any means the least,

THANKYOU to the School community for your support and

encouragement over these many years. My time spent at

Hobartville Public School will be remembered warmly.

At this stage the last day of Canteen will be Friday 9th

December 2016 with limited choice of menu. Should the

stock run out sooner, it will be posted on P & C and School

web pages also posters around Canteen and Office.

Have a wonderful and safe Christmas and all the very best

for the New Year.

P&C News

Everyone should've received their raffle tickets

for this year's Christmas raffle. Each family

received 20 tickets to be sold for $1 each. We

have some fantastic prizes on offer including 4

season passes to Wet ‘n’ Wild, a 16GB iPod,

whipper snipper and family hampers. The raffle will be

drawn at the final assembly on Monday 12th December,

please return your raffle tickets and money to the P&C box

by Friday 9th December. Further tickets will be available for

sale in the playground the next 2 Fridays before school and

the Monday morning before the assembly.

The Christmas raffle donation box is now in the foyer of the

School awaiting your kind donations. As with previous

years, if you are donating food items they need to have an

expiration date of at least June 2017. Suggested donations

are: candles, books, homewares, chocolates, toys etc. The

last day for donations will be Friday 9th December at the

end of the school day.

Banking at Hobartville P S, last day for school banking

will be Tuesday 6th December 2016.

Clothing Pool: Wednesday morning at Hobartville PS the

clothing pool is open between 9:00am-9:15am.

Hobartville Public School is a dog free zone.

Please keep your furry friends at home or outside the

gates. Thank you
