Set in a 125 acre estate in the heart of North Devon, with far reaching views along the Mole Valley

and across to Exmoor, the award winning Highbullen Hotel promises a warm welcome, comfortable

The Morning Room

The Morning Room is located in The Manor House. French doors lead out to the Croquet Lawn and

stunning, far-reaching views from the picture windows make the room light and bright. For winter

ceremonies there is a large open fireplace to create a magical environment. The room caters for up to

30 guests.

The Drawing Room

The intimate and stylish Drawing Room accommodates up to 25 guests. The elegant decor is typical

of the Victorian Arts and Crafts style in which The Manor House was built. With a stunning open

fireplace, this luxurious room is befitting for a beautiful wedding.

The Cellars

The Cellars provides an intimate and alluring venue for a ceremony for up to 30 guests. Situated in the

historic lower levels of The Manor House, The Cellars is ideal for an informal and personal ceremony.

The Devon View Restaurant

Accommodating up to 80 guests, the sumptuous Devon View Restaurant is the largest venue in the

Manor House licensed for weddings. With breathtaking views for over 12 miles onto Exmoor, this is

a very special room.

A wondrous location for your wedding, The Palazzo has a strong Roman influence. Featuring domes,

barrelled ceilings, pillars and statues in the Tuscan-order of architecture, this unique venue will never

fail to impress.

Caesar, Claudius & Augustus

Caesar and Claudius both feature high ceilings, stunning domes, chandeliers and a wonderfully

large space for your ceremony. The rooms can be opened up into one large venue for up to 350.

This combined space is called Augustus.

Nero

With views across to Exmoor, Nero is a perfect venue for ceremonies for up to 60 guests. The room

has a neutral décor which leaves the Bride and Groom free to decide on their colour theme.

Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius is the most intimate room located in The Palazzo. Light and airy and with a capacity

of 24, this is ideal for smaller ceremonies.

Unique Ceremonies ~ The North & South Lawn Arbours ~

For those wishing for something a little different, Highbullen has 2 stunning outdoor venues licensed

for Civil Ceremonies.

The South Lawn Arbour is on the croquet lawn adjacent to the Morning Room and has wonderful

far-reaching views. Ceremonies for up to 350 can take place here.

The North Lawn Arbour can also accommodate up to 350 guests. The arbour itself is more spacious

and open and the lawn is more sheltered, creating a wonderfully peaceful location to hold a ceremony.

The Devon View

The flagship restaurant, The Devon View, is a delightful location to celebrate your day and can cater for

up to 80 guests. Stunning far-reaching views across Exmoor, luxurious surroundings and a wonderful

service will ensure you have a day to remember.

The Cellars

The warm and cosy Cellars Restaurant is perfect for a single table of up to 18 guests or individual

tables for up to 30. Perfect for an informal and intimate celebration.

The Morning Room & the Drawing Room

The hotel’s lounges, The Morning Room and The Drawing Room, can be utilised for private dining by

special arrangement. These are the perfect locations for a wonderful celebration at the end of a glorious

All our rooms have been fully refurbished, offering guests luxury accommodation in this

perfect North Devon setting. We have twelve individually designed Manor House rooms,

including our award winning Loft Suite. Our remaining bedrooms located throughout

the Estate, all offer stylish touches, comfort and elegance.

In addition, Highbullen has a selection of self-catering cottages and apartments ranging

in size from 2 bedrooms to 8 bedrooms. These are available on a short break (minimum

three nights) to full week package, and are perfect for a group of family or friends who

want to add a few days on to your celebrations.

~ The Small Print ~

Accommodationa. Hotel bedrooms are available for occupancy from 3.00pm on the day of arrival.b. Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00am on the day of departure.c. A minimum two night stay applies at weekends, although single nights are sometimes availabled. With the exception of five rooms for the wedding party, accommodation will not be held without a deposit specifically for each room.e. A room rate specific to the event will be agreed, based on time of year.

Wedding Cancellationa. All deposits are non-refundable. We strongly recommend taking out insurance in the unlikely event that the wedding may need to be cancelled or postponed. Any postponement of confirmed business will be treated as a cancellation.b. Cancellations must be made in writing. We recommend sending cancellation notices by recorded post.c. Cancellation fees are calculated using the most up to date estimate of predicted revenue. For cancellations within a year of the event, payment will be a percentage of estimated revenue minus the deposit. Fees are as follows- Time of cancellation Percentage of estimated revenue More than 12 months 0%, non-refundable deposit is withheld. 6 months – 12 months 50% 91 – 180 days 75% 0 – 90 days 100%

Paymenta. Provisional bookings will be held for 14 days.b. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date of your event.c. 50% of the estimated balance must be paid 90 days before the event.d. 28 days prior to the event, at the time of confirming final numbers, the event balance must be paid.e. Any additional costs are to be settled upon departure.

Final Numbersa. Final Numbers must be advised 28 days before the event. b. The Hotel reserves the right to amend the location of an event if there is a reduction in final numbers.

General a. Wine. i. Highbullen does not allow corkage. ii. Sommeliers choice wine will be chosen in line with food choices. Suggested wine will form part of the menu tasting. However, the hotel reserves the right to change the wine due to circumstances beyond its control.b. “Foodage”. Highbullen does not allow guests to bring their own food into the hotel, with the exception of the wedding cake.c. The hotel does not accept responsibility for guests’ possessions, unless they are expressively passed to the hotel. It is recommended that a member of the wedding party be asked to look after the gift/card table, if appropriate.d. The playing of live and recorded music in the Palazzo should take place in Claudius wherever possible to assist with noise regulation commitments.e. Marquees are only available on an “Exclusive Use” package.f. Due to our rural location, fireworks are not permitted at Highbullen.g. VAT. In the event of a change of VAT, the hotel reserves the right to amend the price to reflect this change.h. All third-party contractors must abide by the hotel’s health and safety policiesi. Confirming a date and paying a deposit is confirmation that the small print terms are accepted in full.
