Who we are and what we do ...

Rosemarie Meleady, aka The Wedding Planner, has worked in event planning since 1993. During the last 10 years, she

has become one of Ireland’s foremost wedding planners and has often featured in print media, TV and radio in regards to wedding issues.

Rosemarie became internationally known as the wedding planner behind the Ultimate Job in the World, when she

assisted the Honeymoon Testers world record breaking attempt of the ‘Most Vow Renewals by One Couple’ in 2010.

The Wedding Planner planned the majority of their 86 vow renewals around the world in a six month period!

EXCLUSIVE TO THE WEDDING PLANNER

Considered the most beautiful house in Ireland, Russborough provides a unique setting for your wedding ceremony. The front facade is the longest in Ireland, 700 feet end to end. The house originated in 1741 and has a magnificent entrance hall and a choice of two magnificent rooms for your ceremony.

A red carpet entrance will lead you through the great hall into the Saloon, which is the main room in the house. The ceiling, decorated with cherubs has a beautiful

chandelier. The tall windows look out onto the fields and woods behind the house. This room accommodates up to 130 for a ceremony.

An alternative room is the Lantern Room. Decorated with magnificent plaster work and naturally lit by the ‘lantern’ roof windows, this room which has a grand stair entrance is perfect for wedding ceremonies (max. 100 guests).

It is possible to have canapes and bubbly in the grand hall or

magnificent gardens after the ceremony as well as falconry and archery for your guests.

A traditional Irish wedding reception or BBQ reception for small wedding parties (max. 65) at certain times of the year in the restaurant and courtyard.

Two beautifully restored apartments in the West Wing can accommodate 16 people. More accommodation and bigger reception venues are available locally.

MINIATURE CASTLE FOR 2, CO. CORK

This is an intensely romantic property, built in Gothic style in 1853, the building is a medieval castle in miniature built just for 2 people! The silence which surrounds this rural property is part of the charm for our visitors.  Beyond the gate, in the privacy of a small garden, guests can enjoy great peace and tranquility - and the small patio offers a wonderful opportunity to dine 'al fresco' on balmy summer evenings. 

It is situated at the junction of three quiet country roads and surrounded by mature beech trees, which cradle the property and stonewalls. Inside timber ceilings, wood floors, stone arches, and snug rooms make this property an idyllic setting for those looking for a private romantic hideaway.

MEDIEVAL CASTLE, CO. KILKENNY

This Castle is a very special place to stay, where the past echoes in every footstep as you walk through this medieval tower house.  It is a perfect setting for anyone wishing to be 'King' or 'Queen' of the castle.

The tower (1430s) and the farmhouse (early 1800s) are linked by doors allowing guests to wander freely between two periods of history. A mixture of simplicity and rustic charm, Clomantagh also features a Sheela-na-gig - a symbolic pagan nude carved on one of the stones!

Nearby: Kilkenny City (8 kms) Shop and Pub (1 km) Restaurant (6 kms)

OCTAGONAL LIGHTHOUSE CO. WICKLOW

This lighthouse was built on Wicklow Head in 1781. During a storm, on the night of 19th October 1836, it was struck by lightning. In the fire that followed the interior was gutted on all floors, and the lantern destroyed.

The lighthouse was restored in 1996. This involved re-plastering the internal and external walls, making and fitting 27 windows, wiring, plumbing, flooring and installing a water pumping system. When the stairs and timber floors were in place, 6 octagonal rooms were arranged vertically. Although the rooms are small, they have high arched windows set into walls which are almost a metre thick. The lighthouse is a truly inspiring place to stay.

Wedding Ceremonies

AvailableLegal Weddings

To get legally married in Ireland you need to give at least 3 months notice to the

registrars office. You will need to know the date of your wedding, the location and the celebrant. We can help guide you

through the process and secure a legal solemnizer for your ceremony.

Should you wish to look after the legal

side of the marriage on a different day, it opens up the possibilities of the style of ceremony you do and where it takes place. You can have a full romantic blessing

ceremony with vows, the only difference is your marriage is legally registered elsewhere.

Celtic Blessings

The traditional Irish hand tying ceremony is where the term ‘to tie the knot’

originates. It is an extremely romantic ceremony, as are other ceremonies our celebrants can offer such as the rose

ceremony, sand ceremony and candle ceremony.

We have a data base of religious ministers

and blessing ministers who can offer legal or symbolic ceremonies.

DUBLIN CITY GRANDEUR

A timeless Georgian House built in 1720, in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter allows guests to step back in time and experience the elegance of a former way of life.  The living room has a Bechstein boudoir piano while the main bathroom on the top floor has a free standing bath to soak away one's cares.

The property is located in a lively area of Dublin city; lots of nightlife nearby. 

Perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony serenaded by a pianist before hitting the nightlife in Ireland’s capital!

DAIRYMAID LODGE, CO. KILDARE

This elegant two story building with its seven stone pinnacles was designed to be viewed from the River Walk below.

Based on a design for a ‘Gothic Temple’, the façade of the lodge was added to the existing rectangular cottage in 1785. Situated on the very edge of a nobleman's large estate, the buildings privacy made it a suitable location for the privileged nobility to indulge their fantasies and escape to the lodge to don the mask of simple farmwives or dairymaids! This lodge accommodates 2 people in great comfort with a large sitting room overlooking the river and a kitchen dining room downstairs and a double bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

THE BARBICAN CO. ANTRIM

The story behind the building of this remarkable early nineteenth century gateway is a highly romantic one.                                

The property is in the centre of a small village and sleeps 2, so is perfect for a couple who want privacy but would still like to be in walking distance of civilization!
