Frequently asked questions Question: Is there free on site car parking at Trestle? Answer: Yes for 30 vehicles. Question: How much notice do you need to ensure I get the date I want? Answer: As much as possible. The earlier you can book the more likely you are to get the date and times you want. It’s not unusual for bookings to be made 6 months to a year in advance for wedding/civil partnership ceremonies and receptions. Question: Are we able to extend the bar opening times? Answer: You will need to apply to the Council for a Temporary Extension Notice to extend the number of hours alcohol can be served beyond 11.00pm at night, but we will help you with this. This is subject to a small council fee. Question: Do you offer catering facilities? Answer: Yes. We have a list of preferred caterers that we regularly use, or we are happy to go with one of your own choosing so long as they are professional caterers and are covered by recognised health and hygiene certifications. Question: Can we choose what wines we have? Answer: Yes and we are happy to organise a wine tasting well in advance so that you have wine that compliments your menu. Question: Do you offer furniture and tableware hire? Answer: We can put you in touch with our preferred suppliers, who we have used before, or use those of your choosing as long as they adhere to our own Health and Safety requirements. Question: Do you offer wedding/civil partnership co-ordinator services? Answer: No, our venue is very much one for you to co-ordinate for yourselves. However we do liaise very closely with your chosen co-ordinator to ensure your bar, catering, furnishings, photographer, florist and guests are all organised both before and on the big day and we supply all necessary staff. Question: What do we do if we want more than 40 guests to witness the ceremony? Answer: We can supply a live video link or you can hold the ceremony in the theatre space which can seat 100 end on, or 125 on three sides.
Question: What facilities do you have for music and dancing? Answer: Our theatre is ideal for music and dancing complete with whatever dramatic lighting your may desire. In addition we can also have music playing throughout the rest of the venue.
