Ushti Baba are an 8-piece fusion band who deliver traditional travelling songs with exuberance and

panache. The band’s infectious spirit and passion for the stories behind the songs has gained them fans nationwide.

They combine raucous accordion, sonorous strings, Celtic melodies and exotic percussive rhythms with stomping

Balkan and contemporary beats to create an exciting and energetic live show which never fails

to get audiences dancing.

The O’Marleys play traditional Irish and Celticmusic with the addition of jazz and reggae lilts.Taking songs from The Dubliners, The Pogues and the whole Irish tradition, they whip up a storm of an evening with dances, tunes and songs that anyone can join in with. Men BehaVing tRadly / the COCktail hOURTraditional jazz band with banjo and sousaphone - perfect for jazz strolling gigs – or, with their alternative instrumentation of guitar and double bass, they can perform in a ‘Swing’ style for dancing. The Cocktail Hour can also provide atmospheric background music with their trio line-up of clarinet/saxes, vocals (male and female), guitar, bass, and optional accordion.

Basher Tate’s seriously funky sound and highly professional performance always ensures a night to

remember. The band’s set covers five decades of killer hit tunes, right up to the present day, with a few quirky,

banging numbers thrown in for good measure – all guaranteed to get audiences moving. Their team includes

a professional sound engineer who runs a PA rig, mixing desk and light show to ensure the best

possible experience.

Award winning guitarist Stephen Yates has combined his virtuoso technique with extensive experience in a wide

variety of music from all parts of the world both past and present to produce a unique and beautiful set of pieces for

solo guitar. His music combines virtuosity with profound expression, offering a dazzling mix of sonorities and

lyricism. Several years ago Stephen received Guitarist Magazine’s prestigious “Guitarist of the Year” award.

neil Reed Neil has extensive experience playing with orchestras and bands, as well as for weddings and top hotels. He has directed musicals and toured internationally. His songs have been used in television series such as ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘One Tree Hill’ and ‘Flash Forward’. As a composer, he has written for cinema, television & radio. Neil can play to a wide audience and is comfortable performing everything from classical to contemporary popular, and easy listening to jazz.

SPinaCh FOR nORManSpinach For Norman is essentially a 4-piece all-string folk / ceilidh / barn dance band, who play English, Irish, Scottish, Yiddish, European, US & Medieval dance music. The band

has 25 years experience of playing live. They are able to play pleasant background music or they can perform in

a concert situation. If required, an experienced caller can also be supplied with the band.

Kevara plays klezmer, gypsy and other European styles of music. The band’s line-up includes violin, clarinet, guitar, piano, flute and bass, along with various vocal and percussive sounds. The members of Kevara have up to 30 years performance experience and they bring together traditional dances from the European continent, from Russia to Turkey, from Poland to Romania, with a focus on the Jewish tradition - much like a ceilidh with Celtic music.

festivals. The quartet play uplifting melodic jazz, ranging from lilting calypso to driving Latin American grooves,

The Swing Empire is an exciting, sophisticated seven piece ensemble that performs many well known classics from ‘the golden age of swing’. They are a group of highly talented, skilled musicians who blend contemporary horn arrangements with smooth, cool vocals.

Be transported back to a time when rock ‘n’ roll history was just a few chords away, and tomorrow’s legendary superstar

was living just next door! Experience the heady swinging sixties and the groovy seventies in a kaleidoscope of period costume, dancing girls, guitars and song. Offering a flexible programme of up tempo dance music, this five-piece band

will keep the dance floor buzzing, and can also include a selection of contemporary material if required.

Joey the Lips boasts 17 years’ history and the bandhas played at prestigious venues and events throughout the UK and Europe. They have appeared on TV chatshows and BBC1’s “Children in Need”, supported Girls Aloud and Will Young, toured with soul legend Edwin Starr, and performed at several celebrity weddings. Originally formed as a soul outfit, the band has since diversified and their current set includes music by Beyonce, Tina Turner, B52’s, Queen & much more.

Expect superb harmonies, delicious melodies and exhilarating vocal versions of familiar songs when these

two ladies meet. They will perform a set of uplifting, soulful duets with style and a smile. From the Great

The Normals play a mix of ska/folk/pop/rock originalsand ‘Normalised’ covers of classic songs. Their exciting

sound is centred around a pumping brass duo and a tight rhythm section, and they have developed a reputation

as a band that never fail to get people dancing. The band have shared stages with the likes of The Levellers,

The Stranglers, Will Young, Roy Wood, The Scribes,Seth Lakeman, The Selecter, The Wurzels

and Mad Dog Mcrea.

Dakar Audio Club are a 5-piece Afro-fusion band who play uplifting, heartfelt songs in Bambara, Wolof, French and English. Their sound is a mix of traditional Malian Blues, Soukouss, Highlife and Reggae and is inspired by the sounds you might hear on a crackly transistor radio walking the streets of Dakar,Lagos or Banjul.

It you want to have a “wild old time” and be enthralled by the dynamic arrangements and skilful renditions of

great dance-tunes, then Dartmoor-based Jiggerypipery are for you. Bagpipe player and elder statesman of the band, James Robertson has featured with his father on

several major feature films, working with the great Muir Mathieson. In recent years he has composed

many fine tunes that now form the basisof Jiggerypipery’s repertoire.

The Breaks are a versatile 3-piece function band whose members are highly-trained professional musicians with a vast array of experience. The Breaks offer the best in modern pop, rock, and indie music, together with a mix of classic anthems to get your guests on the dance floor.
