15 – 19 June 2020Reading : Read 2 pages from your reader, daily, out loud. Concentrate on reading slower and finishing each word before starting the next one. That way you won’t swallow your words and your projection is clear.

Copying : Copy the first sentence of your daily reading, in cursive. Copying improves your sentences construction.

Dolch Words : red, right, some, saw, she, say, so, soon, said, start, stop, seven, sleep, snow, shall

Spelling : Study your Dolch words. Write out 5 of your Dolch words 5 times, daily, in cursive. Write a spelling test on Friday on all 15 words, in cursive. Correct each mistake by writing it out 10 times, in cursive.

Yellow Book : p 78 – 85. Complete 2 pages of your Yellow Book, daily. This week you will have to catch up on 2 pages during the week to accommodate the public holiday (Youth Day). Memorandum : P78 – 79Study the story. Have a good look at the different characters. Decide beforehand how you want to portray each character and what each character should sound like. Read the story out loud and role-play each character.

P80 – 81Exercise 1

A jungle is green, leafy, quiet, dark and dense.

Exercise 2

Use all these adjectives I your description. Make sure that you do not have than one conjunction in a sentence.

Remember when you add the suffix -ful to a word it uses only one l. When you write the word full on its own, you use a double ll.
