Updated Tasks Week Beginning – 08.06.20
Updated Core Learning – During school closure periods when possible teachers will post a weekly updated version of this document on the school website.
They will change the three boxes below. Tasks may relate to the resource pack sent home or a website.
We know it is not possible for everyone to complete all of these activities every week, but we are asking that you all give our “Writing Challenge” a go this
week – it is highlighted yellow below.
For those of you whose children have successfully signed up to our P1 TEAMs, we would like your child to submit this piece of writing on their class TEAM
under the “Assignment” tab so that Miss Chavasse, Miss Carter and Mr Wilson can give them some feedback. All you need to do is take a picture of their work
and upload the picture to TEAMs under ‘My work’. Please send us any pictures of your work you want to share. You can share
these on TEAMs under ‘sharing work with my team’
Literacy Numeracy Other Learning⭐1)'Sports Day’ complete the personal writing assignment on TEAMS. This can be a picture or a sentence. See TEAMS for more information and submit through TEAMS by Thursday 11th June.
2) Please see supporting document (CVCC words) Look at picture choose the correct word that matches the picture
3) Cutting skills : Can you or your child draw all the separate parts of a flower. Can your child cut them out and then stick them back together to make a completed flower.
4) Login to Bug Club .
1)Login to Sumdog and have a go at our shape challenge- 2D and 3D!
2) Symmetry: draw a butterfly – try to make the pattern the same on both sides. If you have paint you could try painting one side and folding it to make it symmetrical!
3)Can you take whole bag of counters (this could be adapted for whatever you have at home) and share them so everyone gets the same amount?

1)Life cycles: Pick an animal eg. Butterfly, frog or chick. Can you draw a life cycle for this animal? (See life cycle document) . 2) 'Making roots’ can you do this experiment to see if a carrot can grow new roots. See the photo of the experiment at the bottom.
3) We are writing about sports day this week. Can you have a mini sports day with your family or do a race ? Who was quickest ?
