52 catechumens were baptized by Metropolitan Panteleimon of Congo, Brazzaville at the outdoor baptistery of the Cathedral of St. Demetrius in Pointe-Noire, Congo in December.

Thousands of Ukrainian Orthodox faithful made the pilgrim-mage to the Pachaiyev Lavra, Dec. 31-Jan. 1 for the Feast of St. Amphilochiy Wonderworker glorified by the Church in 2002.
